Why is my new thread showing an error message - Answer inside

Over the past few days there have been several threads started that an error such as this one:

Looking into the situation we have found that the issue is a very simple one:
Special Characters (such as a question mark, comma, exclamation point, etc) in the Title Line.

This is an issue because the html code for a new thread is derived from the Title Line of a new thread.
HTML Code does not allow for special characters and is therefore unable to create a url.
See below where I`ve circled the html code for the thread just posted by Vega.

    http://www.autopia.org/forums/car-detailing-product-discussion/182582-16-24-microfiber-towel.html

We`re working on a solution that will allow for special characters int he title, but for the moment be sure to double-check your Title for Special characters before posting.

On your end I don`t believe it will let you, as you won`t be able to open the thread to edit it.

I changed the Title for all of your threads and they`re now up.
If anyone else has a problem just shoot me a PM and I`ll fix it.

I keep having this problem also and the forum theme also suddenly changed. I changed to every view available (only 3 Forum default, Gametime Blue, and mobile). Forum default and Gametime blue look to be the same now and mobile totally broke my access to Autopia.org luckily I left another old tab open so I could change the settings back.

Is there any way to get the old theme back?

    New theme (not a fan):

    Old theme (I want back):

Vega fixed this issue (can now select either theme again), thanks.

P.S. To change your theme click on "Settings" located in top menu bar -> click on "General Settings" in left menu bar -> scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" in the main body of the page -> change "Forum Skin" to; Autopia-Fluid, Game-Time Blue - Fluid, Autopiaorg, or Default Mobile Style... (I like "Autopia-Fluid" the most)

Still wondering if the fix will be ready soon? Seems like half the older threads i want to read have punctuation in the title

Guz, I don`t know how to fix it. I`ve looked at it and even searched it. Even I f I follow your link I`m sure I`m getting the same error message that you see. I can see it but I can`t alter the title without opening it.

There has to be a fix for this problem.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
