We have been getting some attacks from overseas, we have an additional firewall going in to stop the attacks. I will keep you updated.

    thanks.

    Re: Forum problems (again/still)

I`m going to add to the agree there`s a problem.
I`ve noticed it happens when I`m jumping around the forum. Hitting the back button..etc.
The server seems to be getting aggravated since I can immediately log in with another device. But the one locked out could take half an hour to get back into the forum.

Message to anyone that`s had trouble with the forum:

Email me the next time you`re having trouble with the forum at Vega@Autopia.org.

Please include the time and the issue you were having (error message, timeout message, etc)

We`re trying to narrow down the problem one ping at a time.

Have same problem frequently. Won`t load, just times out. Sometimes the home page loads but clicking on a thread stalks it out. Accessing on iPad air via safari. Have no problems when I switch to AG main site.
Working okay at the moment. Will email next time I have problem.

    Re: Forum problems (again/still)

I`m with E-Jag. Not a problem with this site over the years. My computer (Win7 OS) always logs on in quick order. Knock on wood.
Mind you, once in a while I do have difficulty with my bank and Govt. sites. When I get timeout or `can`t connect` issues, I flush the DNS cache and everything returns to normal. I can`t remember when I last had to reset my winsock stack or ip stack.
A corrupted DNS cache can cause sporadic connection issues: some sites work ok, others don`t. With bad winsock or ip stacks, no internet stuff works at all so that`s not the issue here I`m sure.
Should anyone need instructions for flushing the DNS cache, I could post the procedure for windows based computers. It takes about 30 seconds.

I guess I have not noticed any problems. It has been working fine on all 3 of my devices, desk top windows 8, kindle HDX, and Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. I don`t use tapatalk on the tablets either.

    First Sony - now Autopia.

    This means War.

Problem I have is always the same on iPad & Tapatalk - but not on iPhone & Tapatalk. If I don`t use it for a day or so - it shows no posts. Autopia is the only forum where I have this issue. The fix is just to log out and in again. Happened this morning at 9am last.

At the risk of jinxing myself.........

I haven`t had a problem in 2 days. But then again, I wasn`t around much either.
