    Most beautiful motorcycles ever made?

Just a quick list of what I consider the best-looking motorcycles ever made.

Number 1- The 1923-26 BMW R32. This was BMW`s first motorbike, and featured their now famous flat-twin engine. Later motorcycle`s - like Harley Davidson- would use much of this style and later claim it be "All American".

Number 2- Indian Chief. The Indian Chief was the first long-range cruiser of its type. Sweeping art-deco fenders and a classic design created an instant classic. Once again we see an evolution in design that Harley Davidson would later claim to create.

Number 3- Ducati 750SS. A truly revolutionary bike that carried the British-born "Cafe Racer" to the factory. The Ducati SS, with it`s bikini fairing, was the first modern sport`s bike.

Number 4 - Vincent Black Shadow. You cannot have a discussion about beautiful bikes without mentioning the Black Shadow. This amazing, V-twin, British beauty but the world on notice and in many ways created the modern "American" cruiser look.

Number 5- 1958 Harley Davidson Duo-Glide. Finally America hits it`s stride with Harely`s Duo-Glide. The American company copied it`s American and European relatives and created this amazing motorcycle. In fact this design is so iconic that Harley has revised and revisited it pretty much since this day, creating a "Classic American" look that was originally copied from foreigners.

Number 6- Norton Commando. This British-styled motorcycle looked like it was going 100 mph sitting still. The sleek styling led a revolution in modern motorcycle design.

Number 7- Ducati 748/916/996. Cutting edge. Single-sided swing arm. Undertail exhaust. Treillis Frame. The Ducati 916 broke the mold when it came to modern motorcycle design, and spawned a generation of copy cats.

Number 8- MV Augusta F4. Designed by the famed Tamburinni (who also did the Ducati 916), the MV Augusta has set the standard for modern, good-looking, exotic motorcycles.

When I was young, ha! back during the friggin Carter Administration (God help us) I use to love to read Motorcyclist, Cycle World and Dirt Bike of course. The street bike mags always had this gorgeous girl with a halter top standing beside a Norton Commando, hot chick and fast bike! It really made an impression on my teenage brain. I use to dream of getting that bike, the girl and just heading off down the highway.
I never did, my dad was old, tired and worked for an insurance company so you can best forget getting one o dem dangerous motorsickles! I never did, even after growing up and moving out, it was and still is one of the greatest regrets I have ever had.
Guys, if you really want a bike, get one, but get proper training first ok and don`t be stupid, you could wind up worse than dead. Or you could play it safe and realize you`re 55 years old and will probably die never having actually lived..........

That MV Augusta F4 is gorgeous.

I`ve always drooled over the Ducati 999.

If I could pick any bike right now it`d be a ZX14R. Can`t decide between red or blue.

Of course I`ve had many dreams about a black and gold R1.

And last but not least, I can`t leave out my childhood dream..the Hayabusa. I love larger bikes as I enjoy `sport touring` and long distance "spirited" rides on the highway.

A buddy of mine has a Senna, probably the beautiful bike I`ve ever seen. It`s even got a magnesium stand...

Besides that bike I would love a ducati 848, not the most extravagant but gorgeous bike and for me thats as big as it gets. No 1098`s for me...

I like the Yamaha`s but they have to be blue. R1 in front and an R6 in back and they have to be polished to shine.
