Stay dry, Ray Vega! Looks like it`s gonna be a good race when we get back to it. Too bad Kyle Larson has been having issues with the sway bar cutting the tire. I like that rookie, a heck of a lot more than the spoiled rich kid taking over the #3. Did you hear his press conference, saying he needed his grandpa to give him the helicopter so he could go race on a dirt track...

This thread brings back a memory or two. I haven`t watched a NASCAR race in person, but years ago I did drive up to Elkhart Lake, WI to watch the Camel GT races, specifically for the Audi 90 Quattro. Neat race, and it was great to walk through the pits prior to the race. Quite hot that day, so watching the weather ahead of time is important. Traffic was a drag.

Got rained out, had to head home. Soaked and chilled, we head home...7 hrs later they start the race. Argh! lol oh well, there`s always next year. My girlfriend and I had seats right at the exit of pit road




So we strip, jump in the truck and head home. Sure enough, we get into my neighborhood, sitting butt-ass neked mind you, and this happens:

Ahhhh! I was hoping you guys would forget about me lol. I didn`t end up going. I actually lost my debit card that Saturday night and a couple friends from my group backed out. There`s always next year I guess. Until then, it`s still on my bucket list.

This year was a mess with the weather. If there was ever a year to miss, this was it, although it would have been cool to see Dale Jr. win.
