I want one so bad. They look amazing, I`m sure the performance is out of this world.

I`ll take two please. One as an O6 and one as an O7. I`ll drive the O6 as the daily as I don`t want to have to pay to replace the brakes on the O7 very often.

Good luck stopping on a cold day with the 07, I remember with a gemballa I drove... It took a while with those brakes cold.

    Re: New Z06!!!

I have driven quite a few cars with carbon ceramic brakes.. even when cold, they provide plenty of stopping power for normal, day-to-day driving. This wasn`t a problem for me, since all of the cars that I driven were not mine. Thus I drove them very carefully.

However, the problem with having a car like that, and owning it, is that the performance is so high, and the temptation to use that performance is so high, that you can get yourself into trouble quickly.

Summer performance tires are a bigger problem on a cold day.

I`m actually betting on closer to 700/hp

I have been looking lately at getting a 14 2lt/z51.

Luckily I haven`t gotten the deal I want.

    I miss having a toy

Interesting concern coming from a bike owner like yourself.

Those brakes will be just fine. They obviously shed heat better than traditional brakes but they`ll work in the cold as well. I`m getting one of each so I can drive the Z06 on snowy days.

Imagine for a moment GM`s concern when owners come back claiming their car will only stop in warm weather.

I mis posted, carbon ceramics are fine on anyday but in street driving they must be warmed up, they are most effective at higher temps. If you rip it immediately you`ll be in for quite a suprise.

AGREED. i have personally experienced this problem...good year eagle f1 supercar = terrible tires

ceramic brakes would just suck to replace (but then if you can afford the zo6 im sure you can afford to play)
