How about people who cannot maintain their speed in general. I almost always use cruise control on the expressway and I cannot tell you how many times I pass somebody only to have them come back and pass me 3-10 minutes later. Then I will pass them again and they pass again.

Along the same lines, it seems there is a large contingent of people who just don`t like to get passed. When you pull alongside they speed up, forcing you to speed up (some times a mini race) until you pass them and pull in front of them. Then they return to their normal speed and fade in the distance. It`s so weird.

Todd I had that happen the other day. I was using cruise control on my way to work and passed a lady. I guess she did t like it and passed me a minute later. Once she nearly got past me she changed lanes in front of me and nearly cut me off. Then she slowed down below the speed limit. I thought she was moving over to exit. It she never did. I ended up changing lanes to get past her. Wonder what people are thinking when they do stuff like that

There`s a woman around here for some odd reason will drive slow but when you try and pass her she will floor it and not let you. I tried a couple times in my 04 Frontier with a 4 cylinder 5 speed, the anemic 4 banger just wasn`t fast enough. When I got my 07 Frontier with the 4.0 V6 she didn`t know what to think when I laid into the throttle.

She promptly flipped me off when I turned in the parking lot at work. Freakin` people.

This is bad enough but in an classic vehicle it can be pucker and pray.

I guess one question does everything think the "flash" to pass to be honored? That is if someone comes up behind you in the left lane and flashes (or maybe not) but clearly wants to move along faster, what is the front driver`s duty?

a, ignore the driver behind because he is a jerk and no one is going to tell me what to do
b. move over to allow him to pass at a safe time (not 30 miles down the road)
c. make gestures at the driver
d. slow down to make him suffer
e. start checking for your gun in case you need it

Great point-
Nobody ever tailgates me - because if someone needs to go faster than I`m going, I get out of the way. And I think it`s reasonable for me to expect the same courtesy. The only thing more annoying to me than a tailgater is the idiot holding up everyone else because he refuses to move over...

A lot of good ones have been listed, but I`m surprised no one has mentioned this so far:

Police turning on their lights to blow an intersection, then turn them off once they`re passed.

In addition to not using blinkers or excessive speeding, how about when LEO do this - I think it`s twice as bad as they`re supposed to be the ones to uphold the law.

I think a lot of LEOs feel the law doesn`t apply to them.

A buddy of mine got rear-ended by a cop who was talking on his cell phone. Cop was in a Crown Vic, my buddy was on a Honda bike. No damage to the push bar on the cruiser, but the bike sustained some nasty damage.

Of course, no ticket or reprimand whatsoever for the cop.

Guyz.....the women who wont let you pass probably just like the way you look and are checkin you out, or maybe they like the way your shiney car looks too!

I havent read the whole thread but I hate when motorcyclist ride along side you between lanes to pass..........its legal to do here but it always really scares me and I think its dangerous . I had one the other day pass me , I swear he was 1/2 inch away from hitting my side mirror!

It always bugs me too to see people on motorcycles dressed in camouflage clothes .Why ? I almost creamed a guy on his bike at a stop sign he blended in so well , and I am one to especially pay attention to people on bikes .

I love people on motorcycles and love them more when they are safe and alive !

We have several right-turn bypasses in this town. More than one on some intersections.

What annoys me most is when people STOP to merge. Seriously! The traffic is only moving ~25 mph coming right out of a stopped line, and there is almost always room to squeeze in, or there is somebody kind enough to let you.

Granted, I can understand if the driver is not skilled enough to do so. Maybe it just annoys me when people aren`t as skilled of drivers as I am.
