    air compressor help

I’m thinking of buying this Porter-Cable
6 Gal. 150 PSI Portable Electric Pancake
Air Compressor to keep my tires at the
proper air pressure. Would this suit my
purpose? If so, what hose would you
    use with it?

    Thanks
    Jim

For tires that compressor will be fine. Other than tires maybe a finish nailer could be used with that compressor, but nothing else.

Since it will be infrequently used, Harbor Freight has a good cheap hose. I`ve been using this one and it still has held up and is decently flexible when cold.

    Re: air compressor help

I have a Coleman that has the same numbers as the OP mentioned. It literally will not fill a 33” tire that is 6 lbs. low to 36 lbs. without cycling. That said, this thing has been a gem when it comes to breaking loose lug nuts that are torqued to 150 lb/ft while out in the driveway or breaking a ball joint loose in a tough spot. These aren’t the end all compressor but if the OP buys one I think he’ll use it frequently.

If you live in a house, I would buy the biggest one you can afford. You will be surprised the things you will use it for

    Can`t go wrong for $99.00.

If you ever decide to get a bigger one, you can always throw that one in your basement.

I have a Stanley similar to that one in my gun-cleaning room.
