Only you can decide as you will have the financial responsibility and know of the defects that may warrant a new vehicle. Good luck with your decision.

There are many good disposable lease deals monthly just pay drive and never worry about crap other than a car payment but if you budget for it then it`s all good

I figure leases are an expensive way to never worry about transportation, which can be just right for many people.
Say... a *very* cheap lease of about $100/month. How much money would you need set aside earning interest to pay that? IMO you can buy a pretty decent vehicle for that kind of money and save a bundle long-term, but it`s all about priorities.
I would rather buy one of those vehicles that come off a 24 month lease. You know it`s been dealer maintained, it`s got low miles, and it`s not going to depreciate the way a new car does. Also you normally get a very good warranty. A win-win-win-win.
When I leased a vehicle there were no Dealer perks such as oil, tranny changes or anything else. Do they now provide that ?. Buying a used leased vehicle was always a gamble because it was not taken care of, if your not going to keep it why maintain it run it for what it`s worth and when the lease runs out get another.

I agree, buying a used/leased vehicle would make me nervous, much akin to buying a used rental car. I`d have about the same level of confindence. In the end it`s probably no different than buying any used car, just roll the dice. Now if you can get a used car on the lift, pull the wheels, have a good inspection light and a bit of time to go over it you`ll probably increase your odds of getting a good one.
A society willing to trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither and will lose both

Bought the Daughters car (125K miles) with a credit card $ 1700.00 and she drove it everyday for 6 years. Her now Husband bought her another car and hers went to a family member on his side. It had the usual things like Brakes etc. but there was also a water pump, ac compressor and power steering pump done over 6 years and was a parts only as Daddy provided the labor. Now I am not a Ford fan but that Escort ZX2 held up very well.

Put a capful of brake fluid in the oil, doesn`t matter the brand or the DOT rating. The brake fluid will cause that RMS to swell up and stop the leak, if the leak is small enough. This is a temporary fix as the RMS *should* be replaced.
