Goodness it is pretty...
Yeah, I *do* like its looks much better than the Miata. The Miata has become too ugly for me to even enjoy glancing at, let alone owning. No. Ugly. Vehicles.
While I get the "but it`s slower...buy a real Miata!" point of view and I`m not a big fan of Badge-Engineering, I bet a lot of people would rather have looks that they like than more performance. Too bad it`s a trade-off though.
Wonder how the Dealer Networks are gonna be able to deal with servicing. I`d have some degree of confidence that a Mazda dealer could fix a Miata (only "some" as they sure couldn`t fix my MPV), but who`s gonna be the "experienced Fiat Spider" expert at those dealerships?

The interior of the car appears to be quite nice...I did a double-take after they took the car down off that lift system.
Eh, that`s just me being me My tastes might be a bit outside the mainstream these days...the whole "big grille opening" thing simply turns me off so there aren`t all that many cars I like any more. I really liked the early Miatas with their smaller grilles.
Heh heh, the newest Audis I like are from the 2005 lineup.
I like the Miatas, but the Lexus with its big front opening turns me off. I`ve yet to hear anyone say they really wanted one because of the new look.
Just read about the Fiat`s turbo-lag...dealbreaker. BTDT, no thanks, certainly not in 2016 when good engineering can vanquish such ills. Certainly not on a car that`s all about "oneness of horse and rider".
