    That was the c6, dunno about c7`s

    Yours is a C7 right? Sorry, not really familiar with corvette`s or most of GM`s cars honestly. I like the newer body styles though, despite never liking any older Corvette body style. The new one is one of the best sport cars design IMHO.

    GTR`s and AMG engines are handbuilt.

    But do they still offer like on the C6, Come build your Corvette engine yourself option? (Obviously assisted by a Chevy tech / builder)

    Yep they do.

    IMHO - not worth the extra 2k +

    Hah.. Same here..

    Plus, weren`t there some issues with recent LS motors self imploding / failing?

    I wouldn`t want to build mine or them saying I had a hand in its bad construction lol
