trashmanssd- It probably comes as no surprise to regulars here, but I`ve always liked those Datsun 510s. Back in the day it was pretty much *the* sensible trackday car in my area.

rimccarty2000- As I recall, those first-gen Celicas were cool little cars too, sorta a mini-ponycar.

I just checked the invoice on my 2000 ford f150 xl super cab that I bought new at $21,825 and a similar 2015 is now $32,560. guess it`s not too bad for a 15 yr difference, but mine only has 94k miles, so i`ll probably be keeping this one for awhile longer. the new ones are pretty nice though.

If the old one still runs good, no sense in getting a new one and possibly getting a lemon. So I guess you could say, if it aint broke dont fix it

Leasing is in my opinion throwing money out the window. You will never own it turn it back in and go deeper into the rabbit hole over and over. My 2013 F150 crew/4x4 was almost stickerd at $45 large, the new F150`s are even more it`s my last new truck for a long while. I have a 6 year note it`s the longest I have ever had.

If you rent and lease, at the end of the day you have nothing. Except less responsibility, which is what most people are after.

We had a good discussion about leasing on a recent thread..while leasing (or financing) isn`t right for me, for some folks it *is* great simply because of the whole peace of mind factor. The lady I got my `93 Audi from will *never* have to give a moment`s thought to her transportation needs and that same thing is working out great for a number of people I know. It can be a tricky (and to me, interesting) topic; I always bump up against "how can I put a monetary value on somebody else`s concerns", ya know?
