Here`s a really quick video that will give you an idea of what failed.

And this one shows a little more.

In before the diagnosis. Can you get away with just the convertor or are they going through the rest of the trans as well?

Oh boy, I can already hear Swanic.

EDIT: Amazing how the factory design looks like a cheap aftermarket piece, while the aftermarket one looks like it should be the OEM.

Now transmission shop technicians usually take extra special care not to leave fingerprints on cars right?.....Right guys?.....Guys?.....
Lol. When I was fixing cars, if we got them greasy we would just use Brake Kleen and a shop towel on the paint.

    Re: Every car guys nightmare

Just got it back this morning and it`s running great. It was the torque converter. They replaced the torque converter, new fluid, new gaskets, new front and axle seals, and a new filter. It shifts much better now, firmer and smoother. I`ll take it extra easy for the next thousand miles but I`m happy. It was a really quick turnaround. I dropped it off Sunday night, and it was finished Tuesday afternoon. I`ll be leaving them a nice Google review.

Good to hear. How was the paint after all this work? I wouldn`t think they would really need to touch the paint much for this.

I would not take it easy, I would drive it hard to make sure it don`t right while its still covered under warranty.

That made me laugh because when I worked in a shop, I think a lot (most) of techs did that and still do to this day, even on interiors.

Glad you got the Car fixed so fast! I`m sure it wasn`t cheap, but at least it wasn`t the trans!!!!
