    Possibly soaking it in some sort of cleaning solution or something with mild acid - like Cola.
    I still don`t believe in grit guards.

    A friend talked me into spraying Pam cooking oil on my bumper, valance, hood and grille years ago. I was taking a cross-state trip during "love-bug" season (it`s a Florida thing... you wouldn`t understand.) Took me a week to remove the slimy mess.

    Believe me when I say that is MOST DEFINITELY not just a florida problem.I freaking hate love bug season

    Actually I would have thought it was a good idea. I think I`ve heard the same thing myself.
    Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

    Some folks use to do that in the 80`s I remember, they had a heck of a time to remove it.

    I would figure an apc or (uhh ohh) dish detergent would do it.

    LOL! You`re absolutely right, Jay. I came to the same conclusion... then got a brilliant idea! Why not skip the Pam step and remove the love bugs with the Bug Stuff?
