    Pressure washer R.I.P.

My Alkota pressure washer finally died on Tuesday. I have owned it for ten years but the machine is 25 years old. The bearing on the pulley shaft finally went. I was not getting enough pressure so it was time to bite the bullit and get another one.

The new PW came today! It`s another Alkota I bought from Brown`s Supply in Philadelphia. It is four years old and certified. I saved myself almost $3,000 by going used! I am happy it has 1600 psi, heated water, and a soap solution capapility. Now it`s time to get back to work and try her out.

Thanks Sal. I just did a set of Volvo floormats with APC and the dirt flew right off. This thing has some serious kickback to the wand!

Nice machine! We need something like that to clean our granddaughter.

I had the opportunity to use a Hotsy hot water pressure washer once. Just no comparison to the cold water washers I used before or since. Congratulations on what appears to be a fine piece of equipment.

A testament to a great built machine if you ask me...and in looking at the two...there is not a lot of difference in the two models for that many years apart...I guess once you have a good design why mess with it IMO

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I totally agree don`t mess with a good thing. U are absolutely correct. The machines are set up exactly the same way. All the parts are in the exact same locations. The new one is just slightly scaled down.

The soap dispenser never worked on my old machine so that is something I`m looking forward to. If it`s bad this winter with snow I want to try PB BS as a presoak on the salted cars. There is a knob on the side which regulates the mixture. It`s pretty cool!
