Someone can correct me if I`m wrong, but doesn`t a suction feed gun require much higher air pressure?
I think a couple of benefits of the gravity feed are:
1. Being able to use low pressure and have very little over-spray.
2. Being able to use all the product.
With just regular metallics running $250 a gallon and up, using it all gets even more important.
One thing that needs to be mentioned. If you do much painting, wear a good mask. Don`t use one of those paper/fiber things.

Yes Charles as always you are correct.
The new EPA regulations on voc is why all the paint shops use the gravity gun.
I have one of the old suction guns and it will do a decent job but it puts more in the air than on the car.
I recently did some painting on my vette and DuPont clear is $ 182.00 per gallon that and the health risk is why I only use a new Devilbiss gravity gun.
With it and good ventilation their is very little fog in the air.
Anyone thinking about painting needs to go to this web site and do a search about breathing fresh air systems.
Anything that requires that you mix like clear coat is extremely dangerous.
