Is it just me, or is 00Rangers entry the only entry that even remotely conforms to the rules of the contest? Why are the other entries even being considered?

    BlackRegal,

I realized after posting the original rules how difficult it will be to enter a car for judging. It almost limits the winners to professional detailers, and that is not the intent of the contest.

Please see the contest rules thread discussion in Xtreme Detailing to see where the rules are going.

BTW: Thanks for Prinz for posting this month`s contest... my plate was full. I appreciate the help, Prinz!!!

I`d like to vote, but PrinzII`s pics aren`t coming up.

I don`t see how Magellan498`s post can even be an entry. Is it me, or is half of the hood the only part that has been detailed?

I would hide the results until all the votes are counted. Usernames are unavoidable sine the entrants are posted in the forum.

Entries should be E-MAILED to a moderator or Davidb. Pics and process would be included in that e-mail.

Then Davidb or a moderator would create a post for each entry which would include the pics and process but NOT the Autopian member`s screen name.

Up top would be the cars listed and then you would click the one you like for your vote.

This way, you never see the Autopian member name and it remains anonymous. Prevents favoritism or collusion.

    Sound like a good idea?

Sorry to bum this out, but...

This post is sop````ric, at best.

    This is a BEFORE PICTURE...

If took the time (which I don`t have) to post every b4 and after, I`d be sure to win something... but, as Scottshine has pointed out, photos are SOOOO misleading...

Think the intent is to have a little fun. Yes, there are going to be limitations as we can`t inspect the cars in person but think all involved are trying to overcome the limitations as best they can. We can either decide to focus on the limitations and whats wrong with the practical implementation of the idea or focus on the spirit and intend.

I for one am going to do my best to support these laudable efforts. If at the end of the day it`s impractical, then we can just throw in the detailing towel but know we tried with a good faith effort to build an even better detailing community.

If this doesn`t work for some, simply don`t participate but don`t wreck it for those who enjoy the sharing and exchanging with other autopians.
