Apparently several members have ,or had, some connection with the army,

I am a reserve Luitenant in the Belgian Army (ground force, anti-tank) since 1984.My compangie doesn`t exist anymore , used to be JPK(Jaght Pantzer Kanone or : hunting armoured guns)

Nowadays replaced with "shoot and forget" missiles.

I take this to mean "armed forces," of which the US of A has quite a few. Sure count me in, but you better pop tall and say "Yes, Chief" when you enter my ofice.

I am currently awaiting to leave for Boot Camp which is the first week of August, off to Parris Island, SC. No Autopia for 3 months!

I will work for communications or intelligence, I`m not sure which yet.

Oh yeah, not a sailer, not in the army, a United States Marine

    cvcaelen,

United States Army retired, 20 years, 7 months, 10 days! Spent 10.5 years in Germany, 18 months in SVN, and the rest bouncing around the states. Never made it to your part of the world but i do love your beer!

I`m currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. Been in for 18 years and 3 months. Got a couple of years to go to retirement.

Jason, did you ever figure out what your MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) code was? I remember you telling me about communications. Because, if you`re coming out here to sunny Twentypalms, CA, we don`t have any intelligence schools out here.

It never crossed my mind that some countrys have separate armys, we have only one army with several divisions like Medics,Aviation, Navy, Groundforce, ...

So , with the army I ment anyone with a uniform protecting their country.

I tried enlisting in the Air Force. Apparantly they have something against gimps with nerve damage and vascular aneurysms don`t qualify. Oh well. My hat still goes off to those of you that can and do stand a post.

My original MOS was communications (6334 or something with 6 somehting), 29 Palms CA.

I was then introduced to Intelligence, might want to go here. I got a good score on the ASVAB for every single reserve job there is. I`ll be active once I finish college.
