    Xfe 7-15 vs. Boss 15

Trying to decide between the two ?
Leaning toward the BOSS 15, mainly because of reviews,
and lack of reviews for XFE7-15

Oh boy this is a really hard question. Competition has gotten so fierce in the professional grade polisher category. If you`re a fan of FLEX tools and their quality, go with the XFE. If you want an ergonomic, smooth tool backed by Griots warranty, go with the BOSS.

I played with the XFE for an entire weekend at Detail Fest and it has a lot of power. Even skeptics couldn`t bog down the backing plate with heavy pressure or on curved panels. It also feels super small in your hands because of the slimmer body and new rubber head which places your hand a few inches back compared to the XC 3401. The tool feels super solid and doesn`t transfer heat to the backing plate.

The first thing people comment on with the BOSS is how good it feels in their hands. The rubber grips and solid body give it a great feel and stop most of the vibrations from transferring to your hands. I can`t really talk about any Griot`s tool without mentioning their warranty, so that`s a big positive.

Overall I don`t think you can make a wrong choice here. So I say get the XFE for the 15mm throw, and a BOSS G21 for a 21mm throw

Ray, what were your honest thoughts on noise and vibration of the XFE?

I don`t think there`s a huge difference between the XFE and the BOSS or RUPES polishers in terms of noise or vibration. But I`ll set them up side by side tomorrow and get opinions from Paul and Jesse in the garage then we can all report back.

Might have to go solo with this experiment. I`m finding out it`s very difficult to get the 3 of us in the same room for too long (Paul, Jesse and I). Pics coming soon!
