How to edit caption under username

How do I change the caption under my username? I notice some people have "Registered User" and others have custom messages.

Go to the "User CP"
Click on "Edit Options" Should read "Edit Profile" :doh

You`ll figure it out from there.

I`ve looked there and it`s still not obvious to me. Sorry, but I think I`m gonna need my hand held through this one.

I haven`t found a way to change this one either. I know where to edit the signature, I just can`t find anywhere to change the custom user text.

When you go to the "User CP", do you see a box at the left side of the page with several Settings and Options listed?

If you do, click on "Edit Profile", not Edit Options. I screwed up.

It still isn`t obvious to me. Once you are at the Edit Profile screen, specifically which field do you fill out? Is it under biography?

3. Look to center of screen for "Custom User Title"

We are giving the correct directions! It just appears that only admins can see the area for "Custom User Title"!

I will go adjust the permissions so everyone can do it too.
