Well, people sometimes have a tough time accepting change...

I kind of miss the Pro Before/After section.

It just seemed like most people had the sense to know whether or not to

post in that section. I, for example, would not post there, as my work would only look like decent amateur stuff... not pro-level.

Most of the good guys have already made a name for themselves, so I guess

to some extent I can look at names that to decide which post to open first.

Meh... I don`t care where the posts are personally. Whenever I come to the site I just click the "What`s New" button so I catch new posts from all the different sections at once.

Aren`t we all here to learn and show off our work? What does it matter if they`re "pro" or not?

    I agree 100%

Now this section will have a good mix.

Sometimes, though, you only have a few seconds to look, and

you want to open up a goodie and view a post from someone whose work

you have come to appreciate. Some just have a certain way of listing

out products/work that`s super straightforward... sometimes I`ll actually

print `em out to file away! I think it`s just a "takes more time" thing.

There are always people to learn from though, definately.

You can take this stuff too seriously after a while

I know a few of the "Pros" Ive talked to are not a fan of this collaboration of the two sub forums.

My opinion, bring back the Pro`s before and after. Not all of us want to scroll through all the "First time waxing my 1980 Honda Accord" Threads. sounds mean, but I know I`m not the only who thinks this.

I don`t really see it as a huge deal. With the exception of Detailing Bliss, none of the other sites I know of have separate Pro/Am sections. In fact, DB makes pros sign up as paid sponsors for the "right" to post in the pro section. And I`ve seen a few pros from here posting in the non-pro DB section anyway, probably because of their "sponsorship" rule.

Yeah, i think one of those sites actually charges you to be able to even

view the "Pro" section. I liked the category separated, and I`ll stick by that,

but it`s not that big of a deal.

Good conversation. I`ve seen some non-pro threads put some of the Pro ones to shame. Where do we draw the line to say who should post where? It`s has alot to do with content. You know within the 1st couple of pics what the tone of the thread is going to be like. If it`s not up to your standards of viewing then go to the next one that is. I think there`s way too many dynamics in a thread to judge what is appropriate for a higher echelon of viewing. I think at the end of the day, it comes down to the person, the car, the writeup and ultimately how many views & posts they get as a result of it. I don`t think it`s fair to separate people based on their Pro and non-pro status or abilites.

Since we`re on the subject of posting pictures, I also think it would be great if more of the people that posted their work would also post their creative abilities outside of the Click & Brag area. It`s a shame that we can`t profit from more than just their pictures. Just saying...

I can`t say that I mind that they are together now. It`s just a virtual car show no matter if you got paid to do it or not!

David, I think the definition of `Pro` is someone that details for a living.

The separated PRO DETAILS and CLICK AND BRAG had totally separate feels to them. Everyone was pretty happy with that. Now, it`s confusing. I know you guys are trying to fine tune this forum, but trying to please everyone all the time isn`t the way to go.

It`s the pro section that really makes THIS forum what it is. Read ANY detailing post on ANY car forum. No one knows anything (unless one of our pros is in the thread). You don`t want that....

The pro before-after section is what makes me understand the level I need to strive for.

    Very good assessment. I agree.

I even enjoy looking at the "Did my first wax job today." But when I`m in the mood to see those, I`ll go to where they are posted. I don`t want to see them all the time.

As for who belongs where....its pretty simple, use good judgement. Look at the standard presented in the Pro section and if you feel you can bring quality work and writeups to the game, by all means post in the Pro section! But it shouldn`t be hard to gauge whether your work is Pro level or not.

I`d like to see it go back the way it was.

I`m hear to learn, and having the two sections together can act as a single source of information - those that are looking for `newb` examples to gain personal confidence or looking for professional masterpieces to marvel - putting the two together makes it convenient.
