I would actually like to see who is interested rather than posting who we think fits the role.

That being said I think Akimel would be perfect for a lot of the reasons Kevin listed above. He`s very well spoken and has good judgment for those heated debates....pretty sure he`s given me some excellent advice in the past on that subject too.

My association with DI and the Ask-A-Pro Blog would also make me an inappropriate candidate. Nor do I feel I`m good for that sort of role.

    Just my $.02

Agreed... well, for the most part. That `bee guys is kind of a trouble maker...

And David, you need to be on that list, too.

I`d also throw Greg Nichols name into the hat as well, along with tdkennay (spelling?), Eliot Ness, Apollo_Auto and Barry Theal
Sage advice from Greg Nichols: "Hey, Supe? When you`re trying to get the air bubble out of your syringe of Opti-Coat, don`t point it at your face, mmmkay?"

Thanks for the mention David, I`d consider doing it. I`ve probably made more than my share of opps over the years and could relate to what you shouldn`t do.

Thanks Pat,But I`m still in awe over the details MattGrunt does. He`s a real pro, and in a tough market he still kicks butt. I think the forum would really be lucky to get a guy at the level of Matt.

Thanks a lot Pat and I hope I get to finally meet you on a special project in PA...

Aside from that, as I stated, I feel I`d be inappropriate because of my affiliation with Detailed Image. I truly think this is a spot that would be better suited for a knowledgeable enthusiast/weekend warrior type of person, or someone that is a pro, but does this work on weekends. I`d love to see great guys that are great detailers become a mod like Chad (Rasky) or (Buffer) Barry, I know how low on time some of those guys are already, and the conflict of interest arguments that could be brought up by some of their business ventures / marketing campaigns.

I`m really humbled that anyone would think of me as worthy of this spot, especially gentlemen that I`ve learned a lot from that have been doing this longer than I have. I appreciate the kind words and it goes a great way to showing me that I`m doing something right and moving in the correct direction.

The only one I can think of that I know for sure isn`t affiliated with any manufacturer is Accumulator and he is on here more regularly than anyone else. I don`t know what affiliations anyone else mentioned may or may not have but any of them would be good moderators as well if they meet the criteria.

While I am flattered that I would be mentioned, I test for Optimum and on occasion, Clearkote and Meguiars. Plus other`s send me stuff to test too. With my work obligations and road biking obsession (goal is 6000+ miles for 2011), I don`t have the online time I used to have. I also moderate a detailing forum on one of the largest forums on the internet already. I do trust that there are many qualified members here who can do a great job as a moderator and work to continually improve Autopia.
