Some people are treated differently than others on their bday...

    Here`s the content at hand:

So are you one of the ones getting spoiled, or getting the bare bones treatment?

I really don`t care. I`m usually on vacation during my bday week.

Usually my team would have a lunch day as a group.

The only big birthday celebration I had was when I turned 40. Mrs, DaGonz threw a party at a Chinese restaurant ( buffet style, with a DJ and Karaoke) that had most of my FD there except for the on duty shift, who came down and paid a visit.

When they talk about parties, that one still comes up as being in the top ten! :grinno:

So far in the past 4 birthdays I have:

    Year 1

Been hungover from the night before only to drive 12 hours to Barksdale AFB... not to bad

    Year 2

Was sitting on a tarmac, depolyed to Diego Garcia waiting on our plane to get refueled, only to have a 36+ hour flight ahead of us... once again not that bad

    Year 3:

I went to work, no one knew (everyone else gets their b-days off) only to work outside in 20degree weather, for 12 hours... That sucked

    Year 4:

Once again I was outside in less than a nice temp (below frezzeing), got told to pack my bags as I was leaving in 1 week on a 4-6 month deployment... ended up being pushed back about another week and a half... but you get the idea...

Conclusion: not only have I forgot how old I am I have also forgot the day in which I was born. Also It has givin this saying: "SALMON DAY" when you spend the whole day swiming upstream just to get screwed and die in the end.... my "birthday" is just another day in the year...

Tomorrow is actually my birthday and I`m stuck working the overnight shift. I work with kids who have emotional difficulties, so I`m just hoping I don`t have to hear "F you " all morning or have anything thrown at me:hide:.

I used to always celebrate my birthday and enjoy my day, but I`ve gotten really stuck in the daily grind for the past few years.

Whoa. Well, I hope the rest of your birthday is awesome!

I`ve worked here over 4 years and no one know when my birthday is. I dont really care though, I dont ever bring it up. Everyone just notices my cell ringing more than usual and me thanking everyone that calls. My friends and family never forget though.
