Dear Nth Degree
I was thinking of your post while putting a coat of BFWD on the van this afternoon.
I think I could have done a fourteen-hour detail when I was a teenager up through about age twenty-two.
A fourteen-hour detail isn`t in me now at age 43 and probably never will be.
I might be able to reach out to four hours, but I definitely wouldn`t be touching any rags the next day.
How old are you?

Checking the coating for high spots on my night and weekend project.
Ready for assembly.

Went and grabbed the other Friday inspected today. Looks good here but Dealer detailed and touch less tunneled the past year plus Track days.
This will need gaged before I start.

I`m 37. I`m usually wiped out after an 8 hour day and am usually careful about not scheduling big jobs on consecutive days. I could barely stand up straight when I was done. I wanted to break the detail up over two days, knowing that it wouldn`t be easy but the owner asked if I could get it done for Cars & Coffee the next morning. I figured the advertising value was worth it to push and since I planned to attend a couple of different car meets I knew I could rest. As a bonus he asked for a quote to OC his white Avalanche.
You guys make me feel a little better that I`m not getting too old. At 41 I`m doing details at night after restoration till 5 if I`m not creating dust. Friday at noon shop gets cleaned and blown out and major correction jobs start. Go as late as I can pull out the sleeping bag for a few hours and get back at it. Have to have those out by Monday. Hoping to have enough work steady where I can hire but it does get tiring. Just glad my wife stops in so I can see my boy.

Finally got around to semi cleaning out the garage and started painting.
Managed to wash 3 cars Sunday:
Truck:
- Meg`s Rinseless
- Interior wipedown w/ Meg`s QID
VW Jetta:
- CG HDSF + CG CW&C
- Re-Application of CarPro Dlux to all trim (Friday)
Acura RSX:
- DP Extreme Foam + DDJ B2BM
Nope,
I cheated and just pre-rinsed with water. They where not overly dirty, just dust and pollen from a week+ with rain and such.
I did pre-treat some areas and bugs with UWWP which really seams to help the cleaning process.
I didn`t want to drag everything out to use the pressure washer for some reason.
Cleaned inside windows & interior in my mother s car . Still need to vacuum it & clean the leather seats as well .
So you already got my Friday/Saturday, so here is my Sunday (yesterday):
2 coats BF CS on the 2013 Accord with 4 hours in between. BF WDPS 4 hours after 2nd coat of CS.
Mowed the lawn after 2nd CS application (garage doors closed whole time of course!)
2003 Accord: Washed (Megs GC Wash)/Dried/WDPS/BFTETG/BF APC 1:10 on dash/door inserts/console. Good wash on the jambs and a carpet extraction are on the to-do list.
2008 CRV: Washed (Megs GC Wash)/Dried/WDPS/BRTETG
