Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Some test spots on rear passenger door interior trim.
Hopefully a coating, but a good sealant will do.
The dash is where I would want a matte finish, the rest of the trim could be gloss, hopefully darkening.

    Perl straight up, on right.
    Britemax Rubbermax on left.

    Britemax on right.
    GTech C6 Mattedash on left.

    C6 Mattedash on right.
    PA Snowcake on left.

The Mattedash reacted, streaking the plastic and softer vinyl. I figured out my interior cleaner was leaving a residue.

I’ll be ordering up some new interior products, until I’ve found what works for me.

Didn’t like the greasy feel of Perl. (will check in 24hrs)
    Probably not for me.

Britemax was very easy to spread into crevices. Good solid look, Nice protectant for a freebie. Deserves another try.

C6 Mattedash was definitely matte, it would work on the dash. I was hoping for some darkening. Another try.

PA Snowcake just stole the show, like a mixture of Britemax and C6 . Too shiny for dash ?? ( checking in 24hrs)

Not ready to decide so I tried out the
    RC Blackdiamond window towel

I do like them, need to use more. PB’s dried too fast to really tell.

For this vehicle, will probably be searching to upgrade all my interior and exterior products.
    Any input welcome !??

Will be throwing in a few orders

Another ceramic coating! I’m selling more ceramic jobs without advertising and trying to push a sale vs when I was new I tried telling people all about them.

Now I just say “It makes the car easier to clean, it’s shiny like there’s glass on the paint, and stuff like sap won’t stick as easy, but hard water from sprinklers will probably still ruin it”

    SOLD!

    CarPro Qcuartz 3.0

The front was wrapped in clear film. Not hard to polish with one step, even the rest of the paint finished out easier than most

All loaded out to do the job. And yes, I even put a GoPro on my head. I’ve been working on making a YouTube channel because it would be fun to share the process.

Good wash/detail. Another coat of BF spray sealant. And added the GM bug deflector.

Using on wife`s winter car, an Aegean Blue Metallic 2016 Honda Civic.

This car was originally coated in 10/2016 w Miyabi & ISM. Although it sat outside 24/7 since then, it has only driven about 17k miles in that time.

I figure the coating was still around 85% of `new` performance, probably coulda got another 2 years outta it.

Flex 3401 w B & S Uro Fiber and GG Correcting Cream followed by Scholl S40 w LC Crimson Hydrotech with Rupes 15 Mk2 is the combo that seems to be working well.

As for version 3, I `think` it is...was listed as V3 on Ultimate Finish UK website and when I talked to Mr. Kamikaze last week at Open House he said if it has the `3` in the circle on the label, it`s V3. The shampoo is 1, water spot remover is 2 and Overcoat is 3 in what seems to be a new labeling schema. He can be a bit hard to understand at times.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Finally got to wash my Kia cee`d SW. My injuries and I don`t have good standing with each other LOL. Last wash was little over 3 months ago. Crap it`s a long time and when washed the road salt was very much present on the roads and takes a time for it to be cleaned up from them. Don`t remember if I applyied Carpro Hydro2 lite at the last wash or the wash before that. Either way the car has have a great self cleaning ability from the Hydro2 lite. But now the road film was very much visible when looked at it and the dirt on the trim showed those streaking dirt from them.

A picture from the morning yesterday and the silver metallic paint is great to hide how dirty it is LOL. The summer wheels was put on a week ago. So they where preped and sealed before putting them on. Tire coating and one wheel sealant on the barrels and Polish Angel Supersport Wheel Coating on the wheel faces.

Started with the stronger Bilt Hamber Surfex HD as a prewash foam and PW clean rinsing it off. The protection showed some failure on some surfaces and needed to be refreshed as I thought it would be. And the biggest difference is that I didn`t have the useally build up of tar spots that I useally have. Hmm impresive and also a positive experience.

A bucket wash with Reset and multible mf wash mitts and pads. Blowed off most of the water with the leafblower and dried with a PFM style drying towel.

Then after a while I was trying a more concentrated and more protection in it of my favorite topper the Herrenfarth Sprühglanz SPR Limited Edition. Ohh man did you feel it was a more heavy amount of the Si+ technology in it. The application was very dragging and hard to get worked in. But the last buff up to get any high spots wipe off was as slick as useally. May not be on for so long as I look for being able to polish and protect in the near future. Will be interesting to see how the next wash goes.

    The finished results.

When I have just taken out and set up for the wash. A very good friend of mine came by. And she was very kind to help out with the wash and the final buff off of the LSP. It goes much faster when you are 2 to wash. And as a thank you I refilled the foamcannon and she gave her DD a foam bath. Just a quick touchless wash as it was in need of a decon wash badly. And the time was not there to do a whole decon wash. But she was offered to have any products I have and use on her DD when we can do the whole car.

My good friend in action with the foamcannon and the BBV Prewash Foam. Around 1:4 in the foamcannon bottle and then the 3 setting on the chemical mix setting on the foamcannon where 1 is the least and 10 the max chemical output setting. Pretty awesome foam and she had a blast foaming and clean rinse it off with the PW LOL. She liked how it works even in the sun with foaming and the longer dwell time you get from it.

Trying out the Foam 9 and Ryobi battery blower, at a
    pay to play.

Had to pump the Foam 9 maybe 4 different times to foam my garage Queen.

I read opening up and changing the grease voids warranty. This was not from griots butca forum post. Have you read any different?

    I thought about the warranty, and opened it either way. I`m glad I did the gear wasn`t touching grease, barely had to clean it. The front grip was difficult to get off, had to marr the body to pry it off. There went the warranty ;}
