D101 on the mower. Cleaned it all up. Changed the oil after. Had to rinse it off so I can see how out of balance the blade is. A lot better than I thought

Changed out batteries on my truck. Then drove around back and cleaned it up. Dressed with WETS, hyper dressing, xpress spray wax on the painted bits. IMG_0712.jpgIMG_0713.jpgIMG_0714.jpgIMG_0715.jpgIMG_0717.jpgIMG_0716.jpg

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I arrived at the polishing and coating stage.
    Fully loaded

    A thorough foam/wash, 1.1 orifice made a difference.

My lighting is improving. 150w & 100w LED Flood lights.

The products I used surprised me.

For the few bad areas and one scratch, S17+ which I’ve been meaning to try.
Big surprise, just a wonderful polish !
Easy to use, med. cut, no dust, quick wipe off. Slight scent of grape pop.
I like it better then S20 and pairing with a MF might be more cut. Plus it isn’t colored for black paint like S20.

    As a final polish
This I tried with both pads and didn’t like the dullness, or the dusting.

    So next up, much better.
Loved this combo. Took out minor swirling and brightened up the paint. No dust !

    My weapons.
The Mark lll 15 did most of the work, didn’t want to set it down What did you do detailing wise today?
Flex 12 got the tighter areas.
When I was doing the doors w/ the Mark lll I thought my arms were going to fall off, so I picked up the
Griots 21 w/5” BP. for the last door and hit a home run with that bat ! Much faster ! But heavier.

I used both of these, WG for the polish removal, and Eraser for a full wipe down. Because WG will leave a film and I couldn’t see any with Eraser.

I come up with this setup for the coating process.
Kaizen foam to hold everything down,
plus a tray for the pipettes.
Just love these applicators, didn’t even try the block/MF.

Not too bad for a first timer.
I was WIPED OUT ! So the paint got one coat.
After all, my Daily has a coat on
windshield, paint, wheels, trim, plastics, lights and I learned a lot.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Been awhile since I posted here so heres what`s up. I obtained an 08 fusion with like no rust in MN, awd, every option including sync, and black. I spent 5+ hrs to wash, clay, wash, chemical decontamination, wash, polish glass, final wash yesterday. Then today after recalled airbag work I rewashed and started to buff out this hammered paint.

I call this level the overkill as everything possible to come off comes off as if you look at pic with red circle there`s an area that can`t be polished out without removal of mirror, then the washer nozzles are easier to buff around if they`re not there.

Hope you guys enjoyed, when done I`ll try to post a full thread. Trying to do 3-4 days work in less than 2 days.

Stripped all the Beadmaker off my wife`s car with Power Clean. 2 washes took everything off. Washed the car again, wiped it all down with Paint Prep, and finished it with IGL Premier. I had done a full decon with IronX and clay about a month ago.

    Decon wash with PPVVBW.
Iron removal: Eagle 1 Black & Plasti-coat wheel cleaner

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Have been working on 2 of my summer wheels. Tested with much every kind of chemicals products I have. Think it`s etched through the little clearcoat that was on the barrels. And the aluminum oxidized has been heavy with all of the damage. Tomorrow just rim protection and then tire coating. Will see if I can do the other two summer wheels.

Used Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner and WOW it`s good at cleaning up the Michelin tires! On the next 2 tires I will do one with Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner and the other one with Adam`s Tire and Rubber Cleaner. And see how they does on Continental tires.

The inner wheel barrels will get Armor All Wheel protection and the face of the wheels will have Polish Angel Supersport Wheel Coating. For tire coating the Tac System Tire Coat will be used. As I really like the matte looks from it. This time I will do 2 coats and live with a little higher gloss if it`s gets that. But hope for longer longevity from it.

A question on which order do you apply a tire coating and a wheel coating? I think that I will do the tire coating first. And then the Armor All Wheel on the barrels. Then finish with the face of the wheel with PA Supersport Wheel Coating. Does that sound like a good order to do this? Little worried about the Armor All Wheel protection as it`s a spray on and walk away. So no touching where you want it. But wondering about overspray on the face of the wheels if I just wipe it off as thorough as possible after the application. Have anyone used Armor All Wheel protection before? Eldorado2K on Autogeek forum thinks it`s a hidden gem that works great for him. So found it on a sale and took a shoot at testing it out for fun. And will maintain it when I notice it to wear off with a spray on rinse off product of some kind. Have only a very little of the PA Supersport Wheel Coating so thinking it maybe last to 2 application on the face of the wheels only.
