Had the chance to use the Autofiber applicators. I`m 50/50 on them right now. I ended up changing my mind as to which coatings to use on my uncles vette. Went with CQUK topped with TiO2 since the bottles were already open.

CQUK went on easier with the autofiber applicator. I ended up using 2 which gave me 3 sides to work with. Spread the product easier unlike the suede block which can be grabby with CQUK. TiO2 on the other hand worked better with the suede block applicator. With the autofiber applicator it felt grabby and felt like more product was being used. I ended up going back to the suede applicator which worked much better to apply it thin and not fee grabby.

Will try with mohs and booster in the future to see how it works with Gyeon stuff.

If you do try these out, I would de-lint them prior to use. Can be done with your finger. They lint a tiny amount on their first use.

It`s coming. My uncle needs a new battery so it is on the trickle charger for now hoping it holds a charge for me to pull it out of the garage and get some nice photos. I have to say it looks better with this combo than it did with Gloss Coat.

Pulled the info on them for you from the site. They are nicer to manipulate in the hand without worry of losing the block and suede. Adams includes them with their coatings as well.

The [Appli-Coat] suede microfiber ceramic coating applicators were designed by professional detailers, for ease of use and application. Made from premium 80/20, lightweight (200gsm), suede microfiber, they absorb minimal product and allow for even application on paint, plastic and rubber trim.

The edges are sewn inside of the sponge allowing for safe application on three smooth and soft sides. Just sprinkle a few drops of your preferred coating on one of the three flat surfaces and apply as directed the manufacturer.
The applicators are good for one use, and should be discarded once all three sides have been used. Once the coating cures and hardens in the material, it can harden the fibers making them rough leading to potential scratching. We do not recommend laundering or cleaning the pads, because ceramic coatings are just too tough.

We suggest using rubber gloves to prevent getting the coating on your hands and fingers.

I got tired of bird crap etching through the wax and paint. Polished a few panels and applied Gyeon Mohs.

Little bit of Ford Ruby Red Metallic paint to play with. Almost as nice looking as Mazda `s Soul Red. Dunno what to use at the end; Kamikaze ISM + Infinity Wax or 22ple HPC + Finitura?

What did you do detailing wise today?

So my friend who lost 2 of his boys earlier this year wanted me to take care of his replacement van and asked what to get, so he bought what I recommended and I ended up doing this for pennies but that is my gift to him. I started this at 5:30 this morning and I’ve got about another 1 or 2 left to completely finish. It now looks better than new

And of course what did I use

    Edit:grand total of 15-15.5 hrs

Gotta love that 22ple HPC. Apply, wait for it to haze, buff off. 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, 10 minutes...at 65 degrees it doesn`t seem to care.
