No detailing work today, did some work on my car audio system. Still lots left.

Tomorrow im gonna go in and practice with a bunch of new stuff I got on the work truck. PE-14, R21, uhs easy gloss pads and polish, bunch of LC pads, and the finish kare paint decon system.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Spent about 3 hours working on the utility truck at work. Well, just the hood, really. Used the Fk paint decon kit to wash the hood and the side of the truck pictured. Let`s be clear, this thing will never look good. It`s scratched, scuffed, dented, you name it. Good practice material, though, and could serve as advertising. I had the Rupes 21 and pe-14 I`d recently acquired and had not tried out. Also had leaked country HD orbital blue and orange, white thin pro, b&s mf polishing and cutting pads, wool cutting pads, and the UHS pads and polish. I tried them all. Here`s the pics, I`ll let you guess before and after

Tested out some LSPs I got through trades. Put 2 coats of Wolfgang Liquid Gloss, topped by Wolfgang Sealant Spritz. Few days later did a waterless wash with Uber and topped with Sonax BSD, which is a really strange product in my view. It`s so much thicker than anything else I`ve tried and isn`t very slick. In fact I found it kinda difficult to work with. Towel doesn`t glide over the paint when buffing.

Just a quick foam cannon/ rinse of my DD and Garage Queen with CC Honeydew. Love how soap doesn`t cling to PBL Paint coating:

It only beads up and rolls off:

I will cover it more in my review, still working on the last two wheels...it changes:yes
Wheels were very well maintained - i will do the next wheel`s barrel with it to show the change for my review better...this stuff is well worth $8 bottle or whatever it is

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Long time client lost my number for the past few months. Finally found me on angies list and i went over to clean up a lexus, vette, and venza (venza will have to wait)

Negative side of doing a good job is your regulars won`t let anyone else touch their cars, so they hadn`t been washed since I think October.

Probsbly should have charged him more but he won me over when he said he just didn`t trust anyone else with his cars.

Pinnacle rinseless, hydro as drying aid
Poorboys spray and rinse on wheels (and had to agitate w various brushes, they were Nasty! And these wheels are some of my least favorite wheels to clean.

this car was coated about two years ago with pbl, its such a joy to clean..the coating is not as effective as it used to be but its still there

Wolfs mean green rinseless + black label detail spray after dried.
