Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Finally got my new set of wheels. No more black wheels.

Black wheels are: Falken Koblenz 18x8, +35 offset on a 245/45-18 tire

Silver wheels are: Boss Style 353 Concave 18x8, +35 offset on a 245/45-18 tire

Tires are wearing ultimate black tire coating and Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Wheel Coating. Cleaned the up with some D114 to remove any residue from the nitrile gloves I was wearing.

Like i said, her escape is light duty. It was washed yesterday. So today it`s windy but overcast. Great for waxing. So it got a coat of pinnacle souvern. As i finished, it just started to spit rain.

Trim looks good on that Harley too. Man my Kawasaki will NOT accept SSR1 as a one step, nor anything with real abrasives. It likes PB PP on a blue pad.
hmmm, on an inside note Tropicsteve, ever think of being the mobile Detailer for Caliente?

I mainly just do family and friends. caliente, for everyone who doesn`t know, is a nice nudist resort in the area. there are a few others in this area also.
yeah, ssr1 is pretty mild stuff. you have to be careful on some of the Harley`s saddle bags, tour packs, and farings- pretty thin clear coats. the tanks and fenders are usually very well clear coated.

Finished my OP removal project and took some pictures without filters or post processing:

Check out the pedestrian` reflection on the back door in the picture above ^

I`m very impressed with the outcome of my project. I started off as first time PC7424 user and finished off with results like these (it did take months, but all good things take time).

Nothing fancy just a good wash, dry and vacuum. Pollen is miserable right now. White truck looked like a tennis ball.

It`s between a VW GTI or Ford Focus ST. Drove both and like them. But the GTi just does it for for some reason. The ST isn`t a refined, more of a kids car IMO. But man is it fast.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Finally getting over strep throat and bronchitis. I guess I should have taken it easier when I felt the sick coming on. Anyways, got a couple side jobs lined up for the month so hopefully they work out. Been awhile since I have done anything including a wash on my personal vehicles.
