Bunky, I`d like to know how V7 compares to FK425 or Aquawax, if you use those products. Faster flashing of V7 would be a perk in humid FLA.

Detailing-wise: Way too hot for anything serious. I 303`d my wheel wells and Silk & Shined my tires after a spit shine on the wheels using ONR.

After 48 hrs or so, my initial thoughts on Ford Dark Blue Pearl Metallic...glossy, not that much depth (more coated look), did not make my flake pop, nice slickness but not top tier, beading on second day was not tight after a rain - maybe more a sheeter than beader.

It has a nice clean glossy look. It appears more "substantial" than some detailers. I have not used FK425 in years so cannot comment.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I washed the wife`s car with Blackfire Car Wash applied Prima Banana Gloss. This was first time use of Banana Gloss. It has a strong chemical scent and basically did a wipe on / wipe off approach since it said it did not have to haze. Super easy to apply and remove. The paint slickness increased a lot but not enough time to judge looks -- especially how much the flake pops or not.

As for the truck after the overnight rain, Poorboy`s QD+ a week later....

The truck has been out 24x7 and several rains. It helped improve the beading after a rain. Blackfire Black Ice is the base but the beading had dropped although it was sheeting fine. To me, BF BI needs a little icing on the cake to make it really shine.

Banana Gloss is a nice product. I`ve yet to use it on a metallic vehicle. It cleans a little too so that`s nice.

Haven`t had much time to work on the cars so I got one wheel on the new car taken care of yesterday and one today. Both wheels cleaned with Sonax Full Effect, dealership dressing scrubbed off with Megs D101 1:1 and Tuf Shine tire brush, wheels coated with CQUK topped with Reload, tires and wheel wells dressed with poorboys natural look.

    Bleeding

    Clean and ready to coat

    All Finished up

Still relearning how to walk, so I`m relegated to menial things like assembling my new foam gun and admiring the Meg`s MF Correction System I just bought. PBMG hooked it up big time and did a great job getting my order out yet again!

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Washed my wife`s new car for the first time. Have a lot to do to it over the next couple months. Wish I had more time. Plan on a light polish to get out dealership installed holograms, not too bad, and coat everything.

Can kinda see the holograms up top. Didn`t get a great angle.

ok ron, time to cowboy up and get out there in that "feels
like 114" heat and detail something. give it a bath, some car pro hydro 2 and be done with it.
(of course, this can be done at 0645 hrs while the feels like temp is still a much cooler 90 degrees)

It has rained some and humidity is high but cleaned the glass inside and out on two of the cars.
