No chance the 22ple fine clay would get it off after waiting a bit for the CQ cure?

It`s become very light and somewhat brittle/squishable. Kinda like those white ?styrofoam? packing peanuts with a very thin (like Merangue maybe?) outer shell.

I finally found something from Dawn that actually works:

This Powerwash stuff knocks down Glasur really well when you agitate it in, which is surprising because fresh Glasur laughs strip wash soaps off the paint like they`re nothing, and even Duplicolor Grease & Wax Remover.

    Hello Autopians...it’s been a while.
My first chance to do some upkeep detailing, at my new digs. Where the parking stalls have better lighting.

    Old stall lighting.

    New lighting situation

So after a wash I’m doing a quick
    Exfoliation with waxation,
    during a long weekend relaxation.

Broke from the PA that I have on my Malibu, to
    use some favorites.
Dodo Prime I have not machine applied before, and even with my modified Ryobi, it worked great.

Worked to remove all the crunchy feeling of the paint.
(so well that after this pic. the bottle slid off the hood)

The wax was a color charged, Vic’s Red. Love it. Thinking it gave more depth ??

Feels great to do something detail related....Made me wish for a real battery operated polisher, like a Flex.

Time for a little refresh before fall.

    1. Foam w Gtech Citrus Foam
    2. Wash w CarPro Reset & dry
    3. Hose down w PA Ultrared, pressure rinse.
    4. Foam again w Citrus Foam
    5. Wash again w Reset
    6. Wipe down w CarPro Eraser
    7. Polish Angel High Gloss Paste x 2
    8. Polish Angel High Gloss Spritz x 2

Too much? What did you do detailing wise today?

    Is there such a thing?

Finally, finally coated our ‘12 Fusion in Metallic Charcoal.

1st step with the Last Cut and 3D One
2nd step with Xtreme Solutions LVR 367 Ice

Paint coated with Adam’s UV Ceramic Paint
    Trim with Adam’s trim wipes
    Glass with GlassParency

Once we get home from the beach the wheels and tires come off for a coating

Been working on a 2020 Range Rover Velar for the last few days.
The client stated it had been on the dealer lot since November 2019.
He said it has some kind of "fallout from sprinklers" at the dealer lot.
Whatever it was it was not sprinklers! It was some kind of hard funk!
It was all over the paint This vehicle has been inch by inch to correct.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

    No pictures.

But I spent the past Labor Day weekend polishing the wife`s new Black Pearl VW GLI. This was a "Lemon Law" replacement, so I got them to do the basic PPI but I did all the "unwrapping". That worked out for me since the paint was as good as I could hope for.

Used CarPro Essence with my Rupes 15es and a Yellow Finishing Pad. The gloss and pearl pop was very nice.

    The coating of choice was
CarPro CQUK 3.0 (2-Layers) and then I followed up with 1-Layer of CarPro CQ TiO2.
So 3 full layers of coating.

I was able to let the car sit outside in the sun and in the garage overnight.
The next day after another full day of curing and not driving it I followed up with Reload.

I pulled everything last week. Temps keep going up and down, but it`s close enough.
I always think about how nice it is to do a full running water wash with the pressure washer out once to twice a week in the summer when the cars don`t really need it, but how rough it is to get a rinseless wash in the winter every couple weeks when you should be washing every couple days. Sigh........
