LSP - I wanted to use the Cquartz Lite but wound up using paste wax.
IMHO the shine and clarity is from the correction/polishing process.
I had not used the Megs mf finishing discs in a while.
In this case that was my final polishing step.

    This was a quickie 2 step. Started at 8am wash/decon/polish/LSP by 2pm.
I was not aiming for "show car" but I did achieve "highly improved".

What did you do detailing wise today?

When your buddy goes to Hawaii for 10 days and drops off his Corvette under the stipulation you can do whatever you want to it...

I didn’t take any real “before” pictures but this was the condition of the paint on pretty much the whole car:

Did a full decon wash with Iron X and then clayed. Performed a one step polish with my G15, Buff and Shine Uro-fiber pads, and Sonax EX 04-06. Used Polish Angel Escalate Lotion on the vinyl graphics and sealed them along with all the trim with Polymer Net Shield. Did 3 coats of Polish Angel Carnaubaflockencreme Passion on the paint. Wheels were coated with McKee’s 37 wheel coating, headlights with McKee’s 37 headlight coating and the glass with McKee’s 37 glass coating. Tires received Gyeon Tire.

He’s going to owe me a few beers for this one! Here’s a few after shots:

Forgot that I also polished his exhaust tips with Mother’s Mag & Aluminum Polish. The interior is as filthy as when it was dropped off. He’s on his own for that! What did you do detailing wise today?

My neighbor wanted his mustang detailed so I had my sister and nephew help me. They love detailing too! Joshua is already earning a bit of money on these small jobs and one of his phrases is “Let’s clean cars, get some money, get SHOES!” Because I bought him a pair of shoes after the first time he helped me

Pre soak with whatever the coin op has. Then pressure wash with hot soap. Rinse and then spotless rinse. Drove home and used my version of elixir.

2oz ech2o, 2oz reload, 2oz HydrO2 26 oz water. I’d previously used 10oz up and was having issues with it being to grabby and streaky. Added in 10oz more distilled water. Seemed to make it more better. Super slick glossy paint.

Final product and some Merlin shots

    Time for... a 23ft wakeboat??

First thing first ispection. It’s brand new and only been out once. A quick look around and all I see are a few waterspots. I sat in the driver seat imagining taking this beast out on the water

It’s got a nice “back deck” probably for climbing on without getting chopped up by the propeller, which is nicely tucked out of the way. This boat is designed to create waves to surf off of or water skis.

Picked up a new work light that uses the smaller Milwaukee batteries, or runs corded.

Polishing with rotary because orbital buffers aren’t that effective on gel coat

Even the metal plate on the back gets some polishing

I had to coat this area because there were already water spots. I’d imagine down the line this would be a nightmare to clean up maybe the ceramic will make it easier.

The gloss is amazing. Like glass is on the paint. Technically there is glass on the paint!

    Cquartz is awesome

Its ready to get out there! I hope they give me some good shots of it out on the water I’ll bet it will look awesome!

Awesome to see the little man gets some work done! They are so glad when they get to help out. And also a nice way to spend some time together. My nephew don`t like high sounds so he was afraid of the PW last year. Will see if he have overcome that and do some washing with me this season. He absolutely like everything that drives cars, tractors and such. He`s 3.5 years old now and growing fast LOL.

Thanks for shareing some awesome pictures and work!

I`m noticing that already. Premier really holds its own, even with a single coat. I bought a gallonof Beadmaker after using a quart up, but I really don`t see the use for it now. Maybe in the middle of winter to top of my coated truck.

Ech20/Clutch waterless mix wipe down. I can’t believe the gloss polishing and coating it gives. I get a little grin every time I look at the paint. Definetly not perfect tho....

Just had time this morning to do a rinse less wash with Revive and use Scott`s " gloss enhancer on steroids " on my wife`s DD.

Brushes didnt do a thing so I tried mckee`s 37 mold and mildew remover cut in half with their 70/30 and not only did it cut through 10 yrs of grime but it sped up the cleaning process. Only note is dont use to much pressure as these are somewhat similar to magic erasers

Iron decon with McKees 37. Then 2bm with hyperwash. 1st time and bucket has loads of suds but they don’t transfer to the paint. Could be the 303 sealant working so well. Could be the ungodly hard water. Who knows. Anyways I couldn’t be fast enough to beat the water spots tried keeping it wet and cool to no avail. Once rinsed section by section and a final rinse I backed in the garage and dried using griots pfms and Merlin’s elixir v3. Hate black and hard water as i have spots everywhere. So annoying. Guess I’ll be washing at 5am or 8pm now.

I washed wifey`s car after work today. We`re supposed to have 36 hours of no rain. That`s the best it`s been in almost a month. Presoaked in Optimum Car wash with the foam cannon, rinsed off, then washed with ONR. I topped the paint off with IGL Premier and the tires got HD Dress. I`m still upset HD discontinued Dress
