So I`m having to hit the hood twice with the well pads and rotary to get the shine I`ll be happy with. Client is gonna crap himself when he gets this back, and yes I`m using some oldschool meguiars 85

Washed and dried topped with a coat of hydrosilex (gotta use up by spring) and a mix of Clutch and Ech20 to make her pop.

Not exactly detailing but went to the Griots flagship store and got some goodies (plan spend 30$ reality spend $300).

Ech2o rinseless on wifes. Then made a variation of Merlin’s elixir.
2oz ech2o
2oz reload
2oz hydro2
26oz water
Worked great. Not hard to buff off and no smearing. Used a buff and shine waterless wash towel to apply and remove. Worked great. Car looks nice. Needs a polish in spring though. IMG_0134.jpgIMG_0135.jpgIMG_0136.jpgIMG_0137.jpg

Gave my father in laws Camry a much needed wash. He drove it about 1000miles from Buffalo to Atlanta yesterday and it was covered in salt and road grime etc.
Megs hyperwash
Carpro tar X for lower panels
Gyeon wet coat for protection
Merlin mixture as a drying aid

Holy Moly that`s a lotta grille. I often think of professional detailers when I`m on the road seeing new cars - even "budget" cars have infinitely more nooks, crannies, and details than they used to. `14 X5 I worked on the other day had several functional ducts in the front bumper and fenders that would add time to just wash, let alone try and treat with anything. Hopefully you folks are able to include that extra effort in your pricing (for non family ) to cover your extra time and effort.

Oh yeah I agree! The new car grills are obnoxious lol. I usually do work it in to the pricing of the detail. In some cases to get them really clean I have to pull out the steamer.
This one on the Camry seems purely cosmetic. Not much flow thru for air. It`s a pain to dry completely.

This was just a regular detail with exception to one fender. I guess a while back the owner scraped a fender on this Bentley and had it repainted. The panel is a perfect match and no flaws except it was obvious that it was finished with a rotary and had sanding marks, so I finished and jeweled it. I wish I got to polish the rest of this beauty.

Civicclutch please re-position the wiper arm on the back window. It`s gonna fry the wiper motor in the end.
I see what you are going to be doing all weekend LOL. A lot of surface area to cover. Both inside and outside.
