Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Ended up finishing the interior of dad’s car
Corrected the interior trim with 3D One using the Rupes Ibrid nano and a Buff & Shine euro fiber pad.

Coated with some leftover 22ple VX Pro2. Will top it with Finitura to see about this claim of improving scratch resistance on glass coatings by over 500%.

Also cleaned and recoated the leather with Cquartz leather coating

Yeah I got a second coat on the paint and while waiting that recommended time for the 2nd coat, I prepped and coated the wheels with VM1.
What I learned is to follow the wait time on the box and not from what detailed image mentions on their site for leveling out the coatings.
I did apply Finitura to the passenger side of the roof of the car and applied VS1 to passenger side of the trunk. Finitura is definitely slicker between the two.
I also coated the front passenger side with VM1 wheel coating and topped with Finitura. The driver side wheel is just VM1wheel coating. The face of the rear passenger wheels were also coated with Finitura.
Finitura for me worked fine. I did notice that it does require a bit of effort to remove the residual product the longer it sat for me. In my conditions it was ready to be wiped within 2 mins. Anything longer than 5 mins was a pain. A low pile towel about 300 gsm was the way to go for removal.

Man, we really need to start sending our Techs out in Mini`s or something smaller than these *&^%$ vans.

Giving 3D/HD One a try, Flex with orange Force Hybrid on room, BOSS21 w/ Rupes yellow on everything else. First thing I noticed about the HD One is the nice cap, 4 smaller holes as opposed to usual 1. Guess we`ll see how this plays out going forward when dried polish sits in `em for a bit but right now, kinda like something different. HD/3D always has (IMO) such nice, simple, functional bottles. Scholls couldn`t certainly learn something from them.
Also noticed that while I generally prefer shorter nap towels for polish removal, the 420gsm Creature towels make it nearly a 1-swipe removal. Very clean.

detailed a friend`s 2018 Audi Q5. wash, clay, one step with car pro essence, and a lsp with pbl surface coating. forgot just how good pbl is, easy on, easy off with a very slick finish. my griot`s 6 died in the middle of this one and had to finish with my old work horse porter cable.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
I washed my truck for the first time in 6-8 weeks. What a mess, had to do regular wash then rinseless wash after when I got home from work. Also detailed the interior looks much better now. Only to be ruined by New England winter again very soon.

The things I do to get a photographer to get great pictures for my website.
So a friend of mine who is a photographer is gonna take some photos as schedules fit for my website for the polishing of the rims and he`ll be paying only for the washing https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...04ac3bf0ec.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8a118571b2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b5d196e171.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...22cb03d1f4.jpg

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
You guys are a tough act to follow!
I vacuumed both cars, then cleaned the front floor liners with my 1Z Windscreen Clear. They came out great and didn`t dull the liners. (I`m really liking the 3D SpiderMax liners much better than the WeatherTechs).
I then wiped down the windshield wipers with alcohol.
For the "piece of resistance", I checked the air pressure in all eight tires.
Tough day. ^_^
Going to rain tonight and all day tomorrow. No use going any further.
