Gorgeous. what did you put on the Weathertechs, and is it slick?

I washed my wife`s car yesterday. Didn`t take any pics. Used Merlin`s magic elixir for the first time. Probably did it wrong.. sprayed the whole car down while it was still wet, then dried with a drying towel and buffed with a microfiber. The car had mainly dried before I even got around to it with the waffle weave. Probably would do it differently next time.

Very impressed by the slickness of the elixir, though. That`s the kind of slickness I was hoping to get from CQUK/Gliss but didn`t.

Bingo, you got it. It`s not overly slick when it sits for several hrs and I do several thin coats sprayed on then brushed evenly with a designated boars hair brush, it gives it a new fresh look that when it`s real dirty and needs to be washed off it comes right off

Finally got warm enough this morning to knock the dirt off! Installed the WEATHERTECH mud guards yesterday. Cleaned up the interior too.

So last fri I did a quick upkeep on this Ford edge, and over the last week I`ve been working on the jd mower getting it ready for a coating. It`s to hard to get 100% defect free as the plastic is so soft and marable hence why the coating but I figure 90% is good enough

I’m surprised Solution Finish didn’t at least stain it black. It sure will stain your clothes and microfibers. Good call on the leather rejuvenator. I hope it lasts. Maybe top it with 303 Fabric Protection?

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

With a new product for me to test out. And the rain was coming in soon. I decided to do a touchless wash the Swedish way.

This is a couple of weeks of dirt. The roads are already covered with road salt here. It`s around the freezing point and then they use it to not get those icey roads.

First out is the tar degreaser. I applyied it directly without any pre-rinse with the PW. As you see the tar spots are desolving. With little over 5min of dwell time.

Then I put the Arcticlean Foam Clean directly over the tar degreaser. This is a very concentrated ph neutral prewash foam. Even if the foam is thick you see the run off has the dirt with it. And still leaves a foam behind and that is so you get a longer dwell time before it dries. The dilution in the foamcannon bottle was 1:1 and the chemical mix setting was in the least chemical mix.
Now I start to clean the car with the water pressure from the PW. I start from the bottom and work my way up. And as I where doing this the rain came in. So no need to dry the car. Just a thorough rinse after the cleaning with the PW. That I do from the top and work my way down as after a 2bm wash.

The results was good. Not perfect but the main of the dirt and road film was cleaned off. And that is with only the tar degreaser and prewash foam and the PW as products used.
