Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Started prep on this hyundai genesis this weekend. It`s getting a polish and coating.

Found some cookies stuffed in the engine bay during the engine detail lol. I asked the owner if he was baking cookies in there. He had no idea how they got in there but we had a good laugh.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

My car was nasty from driving into the rain last week. I have to go into the office all this week to train some new hires so I wanted to clean it up. Its refreshingly cool the past few days and I barely broke a swet in the 80 degree weather.

Wheels and wheel wells took longer than actually 2bm washing the car. With no sun peeking out I went ahead and washed the entire car and then rinsed it.

Forgot how she can shine even with no sunlight fo bring out the flakes.

Topped with PA presto after I dried it with my master blaster.

I also cleaned the interior and I plan to condition the leather and dress the dash later on today. As well as tires etc. Kind of a lazy Sunday.

No before photos but yesterday I did an interior for a Coworker on his 2018 Audi A6. Nice car for sure.

    Vacuum
    Used
Megs D101 at 10:1 on the plastic of the driver area.
303 spot clean for a carpet stain...worked great I must say
    Megs quick interior detailer
Mckees leather all in one for the seats, steering wheel, shift knob and leather inserts in the doors
Megs D120 on the glass...came out nice.

He was floored at the results
    Thanks for looking20180922_140457.jpeg20180922_140506.jpeg20180922_140513.jpeg

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Started correcting work on the Genesis yesterday evening.

The Last Cut and UroFibers used for a one step all around with the G15 and rupes mini/ Ibrid. I still have to finish off the passenger side doors.

I quickly determined the bumper had a respray previously. I hit it with the Rupes Wool pad with the rotary and TLC then finished with perfecting cream on rupes yellow.

Did a full detail on this buick on Monday. Started off with finish kare pad glaze, topped with 2 coats of fk1000p, and final coat of fk polywipe sealant conditioner. The interior leather was cleaned with mckeeys 70/30 leather cleaner and windshield coated with mckeeys glass coating.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Finished up the interior on the Genesis today. No pics because my phone died and I was just working to get it done.

Both my young kids have pneumonia and I`ve only been able to tackle this in the evenings when they go to bed.

Also finished off the car exterior with essence yesterday and topped it with dr. Beasleys plasma coat tonight. Anyone use this also have the consistency of vanilla pudding or hair palmade? It`s interesting like an extremely soft wax. It may be better to have the product in a sqeeuze bottle like PA cosmis.

My thoughts on the coating is that it is super easy to use once you apply it to the applicator properly. I used the applicator pad it comes with and at first loaded too much product by dipping it in. Then I decided to use a popsicle stick and just lightly butter the face of the foam applicator. This worked like a charm. This product goes a loonngg way. Didn`t even make a dent in the jar I feel. Nice even coverage and a breeze to wipe off. You apply one panel or 2x2 area at a time and wipe off immedietaly. It bonds to the paint instantly. I used about 6 Gyeon Bald Wipe towels for the entire car.

A few finished pics of the Genesis. Minor correction and coating. Think it came up pretty nice from where it started.

` Nother try with PA Presto Detail.
This time on a dusty, wet misted up, semi dirty after errands run car.
That is where PA really showed that it is top grade stuff !

Cut through the muck like it was eating it.
It leaves a film, that I thought was leftover dirt. But I believe
it is a protection product hazing over. Then buff it off good, to an
    extraordinarily deep gloss.
I would say PAPD is above detailers and WW`s in cleaning ability.
Closer to a spray on rinseless.
With 2 major differences. That being you use very little product,
and the color charged proprietary protection.

Mary do u use master sealant? Presto was designed as a maintenance spray for it.

I only use presto as a drying aid but I`m glad you found a way to get it to work for you.

It has less cleaning ability than their Sprayduster (which is IMO their absolute worst product- dont buy sprayduster, I have both versions and they give me firs every time I try to use them)

I did same thing to his Subaru and several months later he wanted his truck done.

Glad I kept one bottle of each on hand.
