I finally got around to washing and waxing the car, so much rain this spring. I used Wolfgang Uber to wash and I used BF paint protect.

Did some testing with polishing headlights. They do see worse in real life than in the picture. First I polished with a metall polish to fast getting the oxidized gunk off. Then used an AIO with aluminum oxide abrasive and carnuaba wax in it. Was pleased with the results I got. Since I thought I would have to wet sanding them. They are not perfect but acceptable.
Shinemate EX603 mini polisher. Metall Polish and Scholl white spiderpad. AIO and a medium cut polish pad.

Nothing yet. I am about to spray on a quick coat of Megs UQW.
After I finish my coffee.
Been out shopping... For detail equipment of course.
Swapped out my old smaller red cart for a nice taller black one,
that has a drawer.
Assembly and no instructions, wasn`t too difficult. Only the first piece
went on upside down, and I caught that almost right away.
About 4" s taller w/ the handle being almost 6" s
more my height . I`m 5` 7"

AngelWax Redemption is a pretty nice finishing polish. Not quite as easy to remove as Scholl S40 but still very easy and finish between the 2 is indistinguishable to these old eyes.
BOSS21, GG Correcting Cream on BOSS microfiber, Redemption on BOSS yellow foam.
It`s really a great to use the BOSS21, that 21mm throw w 6" pad really moves things along nicely.
Kamikaze door prop is a handy item as well.

Call me nuts, but something healing about a 5:30 AM Sat. morning wash. Quiet/no sun/no rush. Very therapeutic after a crap week. Normal wash on the Xterra. 10 MIN Paint sealant is the bomb. As is the rinse free wash and wax for the drying aid. Cleaned the tires and applied a fresh coat of #253. All is good. Since I had the stuff out, gave the mower a much needed cleaning.
My mother got new front tires on the CLK so I removed the old wheel weight adhesive residue from the barrels of the wheels. A plastic razor blade and some Goo Gone works wonders ! I`ll be doing four more since my dad is getting new tires installed next week.

My dad drove down from Toronto to visit the grandkids in his 09 BMW 135i. Its about a 1000mile drive. He has had the car since it first came out in 2009. Yesterday we gave it a full wash and decomtamination. I did a few test spots to see how we would start the day. Clear is on the harder side but looks like megs MF and The Last Cut cleaned up everything nicely. It will get finished with PA invisible primer and PA cosmic v2/ spritz.

I finished waxing all the panels, I somehow forgot to do the roof last week. I did the trim the other day. I forgot how slick WG Uber is on freshly coated Blackfire paint. I hope to do a coat of Mid Sun this week as a topper.
