Stop tempting me!
Wouldn`t the Nano still remove the coating, albeit in a smaller spot? Due to the darkening effect of the Miyabi/ISM combo and the layering, spots stand out if less than a panel with defined borders.
Tried to fix a high spot long ago by hand compound/polish an area the size of a poker chip, recoating left quite a different tone in that spot. ISM isn`t really a fan of layering a coating on top so untouched surrounding areas/overlap did not blend very nicely.
Worked well when I took that approach with WG Uber Ceramic, single product though.

Washed my pick up and boasted my CSL coating with C2V3. Parked under a tree today at a fishing tourney and with the rain and 20 mph winds it was a mess with all the trees pollen and pollen pods. Bonus for the day got first place in tourney and me and my partner split 500$.
Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
It`s been raining and has been way too cold to get motivated, but I finally got some time to clean up the car.
I`d say that Gyeon Mihs made it about 18 months. In starting to see more spots and poor sheeting now.
Time for a full detail...
But, today I hoped it off at the coin op and sprayed it down with TAC Aqua Waterless. DUB on the tires. Nice and sweet for now. New tires, so I need to work them in a bit before coating...Michelin...ugh.
Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Finally got the time and a break in the weather(at the same time) to get my wheels coated with PA Supersport. Also went to the coin op and blew all the crap off of it, gave it a good wash and finished with PA High Gloss. Gotta love that warm glow.

Gave both dailies a foam cannon bath. My wife`s Durango needed some water spot removal. Went through my arsenal and found Zymol cleaner wax. Used in the sun on some portions of the panels and no issue. Just a few minutes ago, I applied Sonax rim Shield. Will check in the morning to see how the Rim Shield dried.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Did a deep cleaning of the summer wheels.
Started with Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus to the wheels.
Then Adam`s Tire & Rubber Cleaner on the tires. Which took alot of the brown gunk off.
Dried with the leafblower.
Have just bought Tac System Tire Coat. The tires got that new look I like. Will be intresting to see the longevity of it. Have 2 Continental tires and 2 Michelin so will be fun to see if there is any difference in the longevity on them.
Today is oil change and oil filter change on the agenda. Then tune in the handbrake so I can get to do the yearly car inspection which is mandatory.
Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Washed the Camaro after finishing compounding and polishing it last week I had a lot of dust in all the crevices. I want to apply CSL coating Tuesday or Wednesday evening and I wanted the car dust free. I don`t know how you guys do it no mater what compound or polish I use I seem to get enough dust that I feel like I need to wash the car after or I cant get it all off. The dust seemed to be static clung to the car and removing it with waterless wash and eraser prep spray just moved it around.

Started wet sanding this Audi Q5 to remove deep scratches and key marks.

At least I finished the engine bay.

The interior will be next and it needs a lot of work.

What compound and polish do you use?
And about how many passes per sections do you do?
Then the more compound and polish applyied on the pad the more it`s dusting for me. And also the more saturated the pads gets it`s also begins to dust more. It`s hard to not apply to much polish than recommended.
Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Sonax rim Shield applied last night around 2000 hours. This morning photos taken around 0710. The second photo shows I sprayed to much. I did quick spray shots like one does rattle can spraying. How do I remedy spraying to much?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d488b4a566.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e70dba1181.jpg

BEFORE: Note the door in the before was done first so I am simply using the before of the fender as the shot here.

AFTER 3 Basic Passes: 1 with about 10-15lbs pressure, then the last two lightened up a bit. As you can see, the hazing left is minimal and IMO impressive for a compound on wool.

In the end the
entire car turned out fantastic and I am so happy I tried the new product for how much time it`s been saving me.
Thanks for the reply. I like the results. God bless

Menzerna FG400, Menzerna SF3500, Groits Fast correcting cream, Jescar correcting Compound, Groit`s Correcting cream, PoorBoys, SSR2.5. 3-4 passes with GG21 with 5" pads some GG microfiber pads, GG foam orange and white pads, some white lake country pads.
May be to much product, I know its not over using pads i use 2-4 pads per panel. Seems to be real bad at the 3rd section with same pad so I went to only doing 2 sections with each pad.
Only other thought was i was not getting pads clean enough when I wash them so I went to hand washing them then putting them n the washing machine for a quick cycle. May get one those fancy pad washing bucket machines to try.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Started on a friends Chevrolet Caprice -70 454. It`s the original SS paint and is beat up. Has delivering damage when imported from the US. And has alot of scratches that`s through the paint. The goal is to get it as shiney as possible and see what can be done with the oxidized paint. Will do some test spots to see what they get me. I would liked to get it a meguiars #7 rubb down or polished with it. Problem is to get it here in Sweden and the costs to buy it from AGO was a bit high for this car. The thought is to get it repainted if he`s gonna keep it.
Started with the iron remover KKD Ferrous and PW rinsed off. It was just washed a couple of days ago.
Then 2bm wash with carpro reset.
Clayed with a Norton fine grade clay mitt and claylube as lubrication. It was a new clay mitt so broke it in on the glass first.

Is excited for tomorrow and the polishing part.
Throw in a picture of the result on the Tac System Tire Coat the day after applyied. Is very satisfied with the results.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?
Well last night I put 2 coats of CSl on my Camaro and the paint is finally done. Now I can drive it at least. Next up will be removing and polishing and coating the wheels and calipers.
