Paid a web designer to start up my site. No more relying on trades. I worked some OT and saved up.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

So not today, but 3 days over the weekend (Fri. After work). I did a 2013 mustang GT California Edition. It had some fine scratches that I corrected and then I coated it with PA viking coat, and top that with high gloss. It took me 3 days to do that one car, I don`t know how you guys do it in one day. I guess the more you do it the better you get, or should I say more efficient. Then again, maybe I can knock out a few steps. Onto the process.

    Wash
Decontamination wash - PoorBoys iron remover and Gyon tar remover.
1 bucket wash ( I knew I was going to compound and polish it).
Foamed in carpro iron X soap.
    Rinsed
    1 bucket wash
Clayed with nanoskin fine wash mit
    1 bucket wash

Taped - the WORSE part, I hate that so much!!

Compound with G15 (which stopped working though the polishing step, but luckily the guys on the Forum were able to help me diagnose and fix the problem. It was the brushes.) and Griots fast correcting cream on microfiber pad.
For the smaller areas it was the GG 6 inch with a 3-inch backing plate and Euro fiber pads.

Wipe down with Wolfgang paint prep.

Polish with G15 and PA master final polish II on polishing pads.
Again the smaller areas got the GG 6 with carpro gloss pad

Removed the wheels, did a complete decontamination wash on those and sealed with Hydro 2.

    Removed tape

Put the wheels back on and took it outside to a two bucket wash.

    Wipe down with paint prep

Began with PA Viking coat. Very easy use however also very time consuming.
Directions say to put it on, leave for 45 minutes, buff off, wait 2 hours, apply a second coat and leave that on for 3 hours, then buff off.

Did all that and then topped with high gloss.

Didn`t have time for many pictures, but here are a few.

    As it arrived

    Tundra completed!

And another big black truck is up next for another maintenance wash. He brings it to me about every 2 weeks because he loves it spotless

Then I`ve got a new minivan (Toyota Sienna) coming to get coated.

Thanks, I tried to get it to look like the one you did last week.

Also, not sure why that one Viking coat picture is out of order.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Wash and wax on this Robalo this morning. I got a chance yo play with a few new products that are launching soon I was impressed with two of the products in particular and will share a review asap.

Then back to the garage to finish this 2018 Toyota Sienna. It was washed, clayed and compounded yesterday with Urofiber pads (hard paint) then I used Coating Prep Polish before coating the exterior and detailing the interior.

Tomorrow is another mobile day. Then I`m giving my truck a tune-up with new spark plugs and an oil change.

detailed a 2003 porsche boxster as a favor for a friend. looked pretty good at first until a wash and clay revealed a host of swirls and holograms all over. gave it a heavy polish with poor boys ssr2 on a orange ccs pad. followed up with car pro essence on a white ccs pad. lsp with menzerna polymer sealant. this one kicked my posterior. remind me not to do favors for friends of friends.
