Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I got board and decided to polish off my existing coating and try a new one. Would like to see if I can get a little more gloss but with my color I doubt I will notice any difference. The current coating is CSLx2 topped with EXOv3x2 and is only a year old with nothing wrong with it. Just a case of being board and the search for more gloss.

Just got done with a Uber rinseless and WGDG spritz sealant topper. Uber got the black paint nice and slick,
then the Spritz sealant added Gloss and super slicked it.
Forgot how much I enjoy that spray sealant. (getting sick of black paint though)

Mary, it never ceases to amaze me what you can turn out from a parking garage. I’m surprised the residents aren’t forming a line to get you on to theirs next. Nice job.

Maintenance wash on a Z06....Rolls will be next. Customer wanted high priority on the glass. He`s a heavy smoker and wanted them streak free. MK37 20/20 Cockpit cleaner did the trick.

    Hydro Blue on the wheels.

Bikes take as long as Suburban’s.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I just finished washing my wife`s Escape in preparation for CarPro`s new Gliss. I put two coats of CQuartz on it when we bought it in May of 2016 and the coating performs extremely well (better than CarPro`s videos show, in my opinion). I just want to see what Gliss will do.

I have to wipe it down with Tar-X and Iron-X tomorrow, wash again with Reset, and then it should be ready for Gliss.

When I made up the soap for the foamer, I used two ounces of BLACKFIRE Foam Booster and four ounces of Reset. What this created in a measuring cup large enough for me to properly mix those two ingredients is why I`m writing this now.

It created a substance so thick that it wouldn`t budge from the measuring cup. It was almost as thick as frosting for a cake. I wish I`d had my phone nearby so I could have taken a picture, but the sun was beginning to set and I was in a hurry, so I don`t have a picture to share.

It was crazy. The foam booster is very thick, but it`ll pour just fine. Reset is much thinner than the foam booster, so you`d think those two things would create something with a viscosity between them. Nope. I had to spoon the concoction out of the measuring cup and put it in a small mixing bowl and add four ounces of Optimum Power Clean to make it pourable. I certainly had fantastic foam!

Hehe you got some chemistry working there when mixed them. The foam booster did get activated. Maybe pour it in the foam bottle seperated next time lol.

Impresive that the carpro coating still is working great. Which of them is it you have? And what is your maintance method? You have done great to make it last. One more question how many miles has been driven with your wifes car?
