Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Best day of the year so far in North Carolina. It was sunny and over 70. I took the opportunity to wash both cars.

I washed both with Pinnacle XMT Soap and ended up using Mothers Spray Wax on one and Wolfgang Spritz Sealant on the other.

    Liquid Natty`s Blue

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I agree. I found Liquid Natty`s Blue to work best in the sun. When I have used it in the past I always let it "bake" in the sun for 30+min before removal and it was a breeze. I once tried it in the garage and let it sit for 30min and it was a bear to remove. I then backed the car out into the sun and let it sit, and everything was better again.

After the ride, I hosed the Gator down. I need to do a proper wash and refresh the protection.

    Washed the Dakota today.

Meguiar`s Hyper Wash in the foam cannon and bucket. It did quite well. It has good sticking ability but fairly easy to rinse off. It also cleaned well. Pics were taken about 45 to 60 seconds after application so it has been dripping off. It was totally covered on the initial application.

I ended up rinsing then foaming again without rinsing before starting the <no detailer name> two bucket wash method.

    Pressure Washer: 1400 psi
Cam Spray Foam cannon: 1.5 oz to 15 oz water (1/2 reservoir coated truck)
Bucket: 1 oz to 3 gallons

    [/QUOTE]

Hyperwash is a nice all around soap: cost effective, cleans well, rinses well, foams well.

I also boxed up my Griot`s foam gun to return for replacement. The nozzle was sticking badly and would not shut off easily. Easy return.

Cleaned my steering wheel today. Heres an in progress 50/50 shot.

Also cleaned up my exhaust tips

    Before

    After

I was in the cleaning mood and threw a little polish on the mufflers themselves even though they can`t be seen until under the car

I cleaned the interior of my Dakota. I vacuumed the interior, used Chemical Guys Nonsense 1:2 on the carpets then applied Mothers Protectant on the interior plastics while listening to Detail Fest classes streaming.
