Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

I gave my car it`s 1st bucket wash since I coated it the 1st of April. All summer it was either a touchless or RW or sometimes even both. In a couple days last week I put over 600 miles on it many were barely a road but did have some nice scenery tho. I just finished the interior today.

I buffed the scuff out for free and used that as an opportunity to show the difference. He wants to have me do a full correction in the future.

detailed a neighbor`s new to him 2017 lease cadillac xt5. unfortunately this was a prior dealership loaner car and had seen better days. the delaership told him that it was armor coated(?) but the finish just didn`t look good and sounded like sandpaper while i was washing it. figured i would have to polish the coating out, but i was surprised when just claying the finish really helped restore it to a better state. i did apply a coat of stay fresh titanium (ceramic infused wax) and it really brought back the finish. i`m glad it saved a lot of extra work and still looked good.

Yesterday I prewashed my car with snowfoam with the foamcannon. Then 2bm with carpro reset and dried it. I then wiped over the car with angelwax QED. Really like that qd as it gives a shine almost as wax does. It`s treated with gyeon wet coat and the shine of that is a bit to brigth IMO. With QED it got some wetlook to it.
Today was an on going detail to my stepfathers car and began with claying the windshield and then cleaned it with angelwax vision. Took care of all the inside windows with it also and it`s a good windowcleaner. Then a few birdbombs on the hood and wiped it of with sonax bsd.
If the weather alows I will start to decon wash his working truck tomorrow. There is much tree sap and hydroilic oils on it since he works with hauling out timber from the forest with a forestry machine.

Getting a 2017 F150 ready for Gyeon Mohs & Gyeon Booster, aka Poor Mans Gyeon Durabead. Although from what I could find, Mohs + Booster is pretty much the same cost as Durabead.

Trying for Ron-Quality white, no doubt will fall short on the clarity. Pretty new truck, very light swirls that Flex with HD Polish+, white LC Force Hybrid pad is handling quickly.

Did this for a client’s spare tire for his Toyota Forerunner TRD edition:

Face of wheel was coated with Mckee’s Paint Coating face and barrel and face of tire coated with TW tire coat. The wheel will be mounted under the truck where it will be punished by the weather...rain, snow, etc

Washes and details are going to be close to a end here in PA. Nice morning for one today. Normal wash/interior and dried with Extender spray wax. Paid close attention to the door jambs and glass with the ESW. Love this has a drying aid!!

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Wife hit the garage a few days ago. Dents and paint transfer. Rim damage from the curb.

Got about half of the paint off using mineral spirits. Half of the rest by claying. The remainder by wet sanding with 3000 grit.

    Jescar compound.
    Jescar finishing polish.
    CarPro Eraser.
    Moonlight.

Paint and scratches gone. (That`s reflection at the fold of the fender.) Not happy with the dents. Hopefully a PDR guy can fix them soon.
