To celebrate the beginning of our sub 100 degree weather, I cleaned up the wife`s DD! ( that is not water spotting on the lower rear qtr panel, its a reflection of the crushed granite in the yard )

-Speed with DA using several pads I was comparing. Tangerine hydrotech, Yellow polishing Uro-Tec, HD AIO pad, White Thinpro
-Flex with orange Uro-Cell with Speed for bumpers, back of trunk, and rocker trim
-Messed around with my new Uro-fiber pad to test D300, Adapt, Speed to see how it would finish out. (only tried on one panel to see if I could one step it )
-Megs UFF on paint and wheels
    -CG VRP on tires

There are several good tire dressings on the market but I think you`ll like this one. I switched to VRP last year and have been pleased. The better I do at cleaning the tire, the better "overall appearance" it seems to have. In this case, I cleaned with Mothers Back to Black Tire Renew, Tuff Shine Brush and a pressure washer. However, I`ve had good results with just the cleaner and towel but then I will throw the towel(s) away as this cleaner pulls a lot of grunge off the rubber.

I did the first wash on the wife`s new explorer. Full spa treatment next weekend.

I also gave my daily a bath. 2013 civic with crystal black pearl paint. Washed twice and hit with Meguiars quick wax. While washing, I noticed the hood was covered in crows feet. Has anyone run into this? Some googling revealed that it may be covered under warranty, along with the panels that have become cloudy

Definitely looks like paint failure, kinda looks like old school lacquer cracking. I suspect that isn`t a lacquer finish. The times I`ve seen damage like that in the past are usually on repaints.

As far as I know it is factory paint. Honda extended the paint warranty on certain color codes for 06-13 civics. 7 years unlimited miles. The code they list for my color is:

    NH-731P - Crystal Black Pearl

My paint code is NH-731PX not sure if the X will make a difference or not. I`ll be calling the dealership this week to see if it falls under the warranty. If so, I`ll be getting the majority of the car repainted

Finally took care of my car yesterday after work. Been quite a while- I`ve been super busy and it`s been very hot this summer. Ran through the touchless a couple times lately but the car was still filthy. Topped it up with the PBL coating booster and some PA cos ic spritz. She`s sparkling now!

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

So one of my clients got rid of her Saab and got a new Subaru SUV. Yesterday she had me take car of her mustang and the Subaru. Wash, wax and interior

So her neighbor looked at my work and said “man that mustang was abused for months, it looks so good!” And he asked if I could take care of his Lexus. I was planning to do em all the same day but before I finished hers he said we wouldn’t have time, he has an appointment. So we scheduled for today

Two happy clients, three happy cars!
