about to lay down the rest of the cars lsp

    naked paint shots

it took compounding twice and refining to find the green flake

still a decent amount of rids (you can see in at the top of the 2nd pic) and thats all you can see, hopefully not as bad in sunlight but i told client thats what happens when you buy a black car that someone obviously drove thru the tunnel wash for a few years

Clear is hanging out at 4.2-4.4 right now so I`m not going any further

What did you do detailing wise today?

Two weeks of rain and a round trip to VA up and back at night with bugs galore and the Vette may have been dirtier than it has ever been. Two bucket with Reset and dry with two PFMs and Reload. 303 on tires and Never Dull exhaust tips. Need to paint the exhaust tips black at some point, supercharger and headers equals PIA to even attempt to keep clean.

Got to bring the company truck home this weekend, so it got a thorough scrubbing. No pictures as there are too many logos on the side, but it did get a quick headlight polish. 2 passes with SSR2.5.

    Before:

    After:

And a week or so ago, a coworker borrowed the truck. Noticed an odd smell start to develop. Turns out coffee was spilled everywhere, and it had gotten under the removable cup holder tray. I don`t think it`s half and half anymore...

Nano yellow pad and The Last Cut compound came out a lot better. Sure I could`ve worked it longer but this will do.

That Rupes Keramik works like a final polish, LSP ready.
Squeezed out a bit more shine with the S40.
Went back to some wax I haven`t used in 2 years. NICE ! Need a Tub now.

Next , be taking the red plastic off my chair, drives me crazy. Think I`ll Crack it with a hammer, then slide it off.

What pad/machine did you use with the S40? I like it but using with Rupes and Honey Spider pad it was leaving some residue that only panel wipe would remove. Couldn`t see it with naked eye but using Scangrip Matchpen light, could see the halos. S20 wiped off so clean, wondering if it`s how I`m working S40.
