It seems if it "bakes" on in the sun a little bit it won`t streak too bad. Normally last 1-2 light rains for me.

Washed my sisters car today for her birthday present.

Washed with ONR rinseless wash. Clayed with nano skin fine mitt with OPT Spray wax. Dressed tires and trim with HD Dress. Cleaned windows in and out with invisible glass. Cleaned tires with ONR spray detail mix.

Car was coated with WG Ceramic almost a year ago and has seen nothing but touch less car washes and the occasional wash at her new job from the retailer that comes around.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Removed factory wrapping, quick wash and a little Overcoat on the new daily driver...paint is quite good from factory; when I do get around to it in a week or two, probably Rupes Extra Fine on white pad is likely all it will need.

    .
Then started in on godson`s white CR-Z; first time I worked on white. 93 and HUMID in NE Ohio today...took a bit to find someting that worked nicely.

Flex 3401 w M101 & Menz 2400 were a sticky mess on orange LC Force pad; Sonax Perfect Finish w/ yellow Rupes pad with LHR15 Mk 2 is working quite nicely...smooth as glass w the Kami backing plate, easy removal. White is an interesting color to work on...whole different kinda animal w respect to seeing things.

CR-Z is an odd but wonderfully small little car.

So the wife is really into her Cricut. I call it a CNC machine for vinyl. Well anyway she made these for father`s day.

I think they turned out well.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Well spent a couple more hours Saturday and couple hours Sunday polishing my boat got about 80% of the area I wanted to polish done. Now its time to get inside and polish all the small small areas that are gel coat around the cockpit. Tried chasing a few deeper scratches on the top rail of the hull and man oh man is gel coat tuff, PE8 with 4" pad and one the pads started to disintegrate from to much heat and pressure. The gel coat didn`t care it was hot to the touch but only made a small improvement in the scratch. I will try get some good sun pictures when I am all done and coated with CSL. May try some EXO V2 on top CSL see if I do better with it this time. If not I will use EXO on the under side where no one can see it anyways.

I use different colored grit guards. However, My wife noticed it was hard to see the grit guard in the dirty/rinse bucket. She is at least starting to understand the obsession.

So I was happy to put them on.

Used a fabric marker to match interior stitching to exterior color.
