Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Never fails. Every time I get something new - it gets damaged shortly after....

Stoopid me put a door ding in my new truck... (due to emotional trauma I can`t bring myself to take a pic of actually ding)

No one to blame but me. Sitting in the PDR place now & dude is hooking me up. Now, I got over this initial mess up - nothing will happen to it for years.

    This is my pattern.

Story of my life right there. I`m driving my wife`s old 05` Cobalt and nothing ever happens to it. We got her a new CR-V in 2014 and I swear there isn`t a month that goes by that nothing happens to it whether it be dents, chips, paint transfer or being broken into.

The PDR Gods smiled down at me today. After 20 mins & $100 dent is 100% fixed with no paint damage.

PDR dude also does detailing or has detailing out of his shop... I spied:

    1. GG6

    2. Makita Rotary

    3. A bunch of dirty CGs pads

    4. Jet Seal 109

    5. A tub of E-Zyme

    6. A brochure for "ceramic coating"

    7. Some Griots bottles

    8. CG`s spray bottles

    9. Meg new aerosol trim coat

    10. A bunch of old CGs polishes

.... and nothing but Dollar Store MF towels. He was dry wiping my door where the dent was with a dirty & dry cheap MF towel. I just let him be, because he already performed magic.

At least it seems like he is trying to learn about some other products and not all OTC

Annnnnnd Ouch. Do you plan on polishing that spot and re-coating? Or just letting it go?

Good PDR guys are magicians. If I wasn`t so old I think I would like to learn how it`s done.

Nothing dramatic today. Washed and dried the wife-mobile (07 Dodge Avenger), then applied some liquid wax with my Meguires polisher device and buffed it clean. Sprayed Meguires tire foam on the tires. Now I can garage it for the stormy weather due in tomorrow...
Sigh. Still gotta do all that to my truck though.
