This one is decent. You can actually find it pretty cheap.

That`s the one I bought and returned. It would keep a zero and I tested spots on my car twice after calibration and they were way off from each other.

It also put little dents in the calibration disks so I can only imagine what it was doing to the paint.

Have not had an issue with the one I got. Seems to work fine for me.

Follow up to my post on page 427. I conducted a waterless wash on my truck. A heavy rain storm occurred a few days ago. Did some freeway driving. Never in my time of detailing vehicles has my truck been so dirty from rain and Hydro Blue. Usually when I waterless wash, I do not have to wait before I wipe. This time I had to wait for the layer of filth to be broke down for easy removal. The shine is still there. The next evaluation will be how well Hydro Blue can repell daily contaminants in the air.

First oil change on the GTI today at 1400 miles, so needed to spruce up the engine bay.

Decided the whole car deserved it. Its been outside for a couple weeks and was really dusty. Natty`s Blue really does look better after a couple of weeks.

Now to focus my attention on our newly acquired black Jeep.... Ugh.

I purchased a 75 ft. Flexilla hose. I have not had a chance to use (was purchased more for yard). It is definitely softer than a traditional hose but it claims it does resist kinking under pressure. A regularly hose that has a stiff wall actually is not es easy to unkink once it has kinked. We shall see. The fittings do not seem any better than other hoses.

D.C. A quick rinseless on my car. Fusion spray as drying aid, then wipe down with V07. Dressed tires with the Opti stuff. Took about 45 minutes. Feels good to have that pollen off of there!

If that doesn`t work out for you I got the 100` Stanley hose that Swanicyouth recommended a while back. It is very well made, never gets hard and under pressure will not kink. I love it.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Finished polishing off last year`s coating (M205/Flex/white Force pad), decon`d again with Sonax Fallout remover (love the bottle/spray top...smell not overpowering even doing in garage) and got thru 1/2 the car with Rupes 15, Rupes white pad, Rupes Ultra Fine Polish. I swear the finish never looked this good before. The metallic is really coming out and gloss really popping after the Rupes. Easy, quick going compared to all those vans I been doing. Hopefully the Kamikaze really brings it all together...ISM has anecdotal reputation of really bringing metallic paints glow...we`ll see.

The younger kids and I did a quick rinseless wash with McGee`s N-914 on the bikes. I think they need more practice before they can go pro!

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Beautiful day in Chicago. I transferred all my detailing products out of the basement and into the garage.

I`ve rearranged the cabinets. It`s now organized to cleaning tasks. Top shelf consists of LSP and coatings with their coordinated MFs. Second shelf is washing and cleaning. Third shelf is interior. Bottom is bulk.

On the other side, there is polish and prep. Second shelf is tires and wheels.

It will stay that organized for a couple of days and then become a mess.

    Ready to dispense:

Tires cleaned with D103 and the Tuf Shine. Final clean with TW cleaner:

    Going on today:
