Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

We hit the 60s today, so I decided to finally try out the McKee`s N-914 RW on my parents 2007 Caliber.

It`s due for a polishing when I get my tax refund and pick up a DA, but the winter has been hard on the girl so I thought it deserved a treat, so it got a bath after knocking off the worst of the grime, wheels and tires cleaned, trim treated and then tried out the BF paint sealant I got in a mystery box. Came out really nice I think, but it really needs a good polish, as there`s a ton of swirls.

    Before:

    After:

The trim was a real challenge, it had basically turned gray with age. I didn`t have any trim coatings, so I used Black Magic tire gel, and then buffed it down to a more matte finish I`m pretty happy with the results.

I also gave the same treatment to my Fiesta in the background, but didn`t get any before and afters of that.

I was referring to the dust on my car which cleaned off with the hose rinse but I decided to do a n914 rw and wipedown with Ron`s Mix QD...fixing to make Brandt`s Mix 1,2 and 3 with C2v3 (for my GTECH) and cosmic spritz (for my cosmicv2) and I`m gonna mix spray and gloss with ech20 AND cure for a crazytown cocktail

this is what happens when I find myself with a Sunday off - ha

and watch...I`ll end up doing something completely different, lol

Along with the poor washing job the dealer did, it rained on the mountain so it brought up some of the salt they threw down. Did a quick wash, it needs a full correction to fix the dealer installed swirl options...

    Dirty...

Better. Not to my liking, but it will have to do. I sense another snow coming, so I`ll wait a little bit for full detail.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

It`s been gloomy all day here but I noticed some dry and thick water spots from the other day`s rainfall , so I did a basic RW with the BRS and DP Rinseless, D156 as drying aid. Left the wheels/tires alone , just wanted those spots off the clear coat.

should have checked the mail BEFORE washing the car:

really excited to try this out, so plush and soft.

I knew someone would ask ha. The other buckets were all being used by me. Guess I need to buy another one for him.

I suspect those purchases will not go through. The ad specifically states that the discount does not apply to polishers.
