WOW!! It got to 63 here today. Poor xterra needed a good detail. Got a good interior and a wash. Tires got BF Total tire/trim protectant. Also did the engine. WG Total engine cleaner (nice product) followed with Sonus motor kote. Final dry with OTC TW Wax as you dry. (wanted to try it) Did notice some streaking? But cleared right up with another damp wipe. Could have over applied? Left a really nice looking just waxed finish tho.

Washed the fleet that sits outside just to get rid of all the junk from the rain. More rain expected Sunday and Monday. But it looks good for a few hours.

Anyway here is dad`s after an ONR wash and Ech2o (detail spray mix) wipedown. I usually stick with optimum instant detailer as the car has Gloss Coat but said F it, I`m going to try something different lol. Left it slicker and glossier than instant detailer. I will see how the beading and sheeting compare to gloss coat by itself.

Was bored so I got artsy with a black and white app on my phone.

The tire coating needs a fresh application and I will do that next weekend once the rain storms finish.

Maintenance Inside/Out . DP RW with GD Method, topped with D156, tires got dressed after these pics . Both really need a Detail and the black one a Polish especially, but client`s very happy with them for now.

mmm so many bikes, so little distance between them and the car.... It would drive me nuts. I get nervous seeing collapsible mesh laundry baskets within 1ft of my car(s).

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

Got bored and decided to see what Megs Ultimate Compound and Aut1sm wax could do to the hood of my mom`s severely neglected 02 Dakota`s hood.

So I gave it a wipe down with detail spray ( I know not ideal, but I`m still new to this, so I don`t have and rinseless or waterless wash, and I didn`t want to turn on the outside water for a test.). Then clay barred it, compounded and waxed it. It could have used a polish step in between, but it came out pretty good.

I`ll definitely be picking up a DA in the next month or so. Along with a good 2 bucket wash kit.

Re: What did you do detailing wise today?

All done. Still not perfect. There were a lot of deeper scratches that I couldn`t get out with the Megs cutting pads and D300. I made about 5 passes and then hit them again with the three inch and it made it a little better but still there. I even hit one with the nano with the blue pad and course compound and still didn`t come out. I didn`t feel comfortable going further without know how much clear there is.

Prepping my car for maintenance correction and ceramic coating. Also debadging and getting rid of these cheap factory pinstripes.
