23 Degrees when i started, warmed up to about 30ish by the time I started sealing it thankfully,I was worried it was going to be too cold to seal it. Collinite 845 behaved flawlessly, applied as thin as ever. RW,Nanoskin Red Sponge with RW+WW mixed together as lube, Carpro Eraser, Collinite 845 then D156. Headlights touched up with HD Speed on LC Orange Pad then topped with 845( pass. side needed M105+Yellow heavy cut pad then finished w/Speed).

This car is in great shape. Gonna do a decon wash just to make sure everything is good, clay what needs it and do a light polish to get whatever LSP is on it off and then coat it with CSL tomorrow.

Looked at it under a light and didn`t see any swirls at all.

1/2 way through applying the x-pel headlight kit onto my new headlights. Making a small appearance change to the grand prix.

What did you do detailing wise today?

It`s been a while! I have to check if I shared the Lexus detail. Well he showed it off to one of his friends and one of them wanted some of my magic on his cars. A Lexus sedan and a Dodge. Started today on the Dodge. He originally wanted wash, clay and wax, and engine detail, and carpet shampooing. I showed him a test spot and he decided to have the exterior worked on instead of the interior.

    What the......

Wish I had an iron removing product about now, I bet it would bleed black.

Not bad. Of coarse I checked it before quoting.

    Aaand...

not bad. Didn`t take too long.

Here`s the reflection. Or lack thereof.

This little fin was the perfect victim for a test spot.

He saw this and decided it would be worth it for a paint correction. Whoops. Never underestimate the client. I thought he would consider it in the future. I brought a MF cutting pad I won (it`s convenient to the plot because I actually needed it right now) and a megs foam finishing disc. Oh well adapt and overcome. I had to wash this pad and quickly learned that you can`t dry it with a MF towel. I bet this is on the forum or one of KB`s moves. Fill just above the grit guard, clean the pad, attach it and turn it on while its in the bucket. After its dry, continue.

Hood complete. To be continued tomorrow.

Well I`ll be depositing a check for the repair of major paint scratches that occurred to a friends ride a while back that the city payed for as it was their tree trimmers that left the branches sticking in the road

Done. Doing the other car tomorrow. Oh and a nice Lincoln later this week. Not too long ago I was complaining about not getting enough work, well it looks like this is the year I get the ball rolling!

Oh and this happened. Yep. I`m taking cards or cash this year. Trying to figure out getting a business license and tax stuff now....

Already used it once but it didn`t get in yet so it was manual transaction. That`s 3.75% plus 15 cents if I remember correctly. Tomorrow I`m using this thing!!

How to clean your carpets with a dual action upholstery brush attachment

Before using this tool I would manually scrub the carpets with a stiff bristle brush paired with carpet cleaner. Now I am able to get the results I want faster and more efficient using the upholstery brush attachment.

Starting condition: Spilled some liquid and probably sitting for one month

DetailedByPrecision3535 by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

Grab your attachment and put it on your dual action polisher

For this demonstration I used a product that is still currently one of my favorites and easily purchasable at Home Depot. Spray over area liberally

DetailedByPrecision3540 by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

DetailedByPrecision3541 by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

Use speed 3 in a crosshatch pattern.

DetailedByPrecision3544 by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

Stop and check your work after couple section passes. Do not wipe up and down to smear the dirt back onto the surface. I used a blot and twisting motion to pick up the loose agitated dirt

DetailedByPrecision3545 by Limny Kuang, on Flickr

End result: Not bad..... Did not use an extractor in this demonstration

This same method can be used on fabric seats as well, but requires a less aggressive upholstery attachment with softer bristles. Feel free to ask questions or leave a comment. Thanks.
