A softener helps with the suds but I`ve noticed water spots can sneak up on you a little more easily. Did something change with your well water to prompt the UV lamp?

I moved this summer and when they tested the well it had bacteria. After several tries at shocking the well it we could not get a clean report so decided to go with a UV to kill the bacteria. We just had it done again (test results not back) but since you should test everyone once in a way anyway decided to just play it safe for now. I learned it was common in the area (it was farm land area anyway). The water source is in granite (well cased/grouted down to granite) so it is not likely ground water readily leaking directly into well. Other than being a little hard (8 grains) and the bacteria, the water is good (clear, no smell, good taste, no iron, manganese, etc, reasonable total dissolved solids) and acceptable GPM.

There are a lot of wells with coliform and do not get sick from it but they no longer test for concentration (counting in petri dish) since the government has zero limit. Hey, we drank it for weeks before getting the report (county tests after a month or so of occupancy).

Gotcha. You may want to pick up a spare UV bulb since there is a good chance you have a solenoid value downstream that will automatically stop the flow of water if/when the bulb burns out. Having a spare on hand will help prevent extended "oh nuts - we have no water" moments. Just my $.02.

So my friend Bill (guy with blue 66 vette & red 15 vert) has turned into a "detail animal" looking for "more gloss".
He bought the Cosmic glass coat v2, then texted me "How do I do it?"

He`s watched the vids. I gave him a pc & pads (3") so he couldn`t get in trouble (which he was worried about).

    He`s scared and having a BLAST !!
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I can bypass it in a heart beat since the setup is in a utility room in garage.

Sure, but keep in mind doing so will re-introduce bacteria into the system/ it will need to be re-shocked.

Having all your towels and pads cleaned, folded and organized is the best feeling.

That it is I just have to get them into an organized storage instead of recycled PBMG boxes I can`t see through

Tomorrow I`ll probably be pulling out everything in my garage and reorganizing everything. Even when there`s only a few things out of place my OCD kicks in and I have a miniature freak out in my head. My towels are my main concern though. I`m thinking about getting a cabinet or giant Tupperware 3 drawer thing for just the towels. My wife hates that I`ll be outside for hours just messing with all of my detailing supplies trying to figure out where I want to put everything.

New client wanted a "taste" before committing to a more pricey service so we settled on just a premium wash/light decon/spray wax with interior , then the night before she added a 2nd vehicle , so I went ahead and knocked them out throughout the day today while she was at her office. it was in the low 40s and then it turned into perfect weather with a cool breeze and clear skies , didn`t even break a sweat, I was in heaven .

Her cars had wax residue all over them, and the place that did it is across the street from where I was working at .

DP RW,tried out my new Optimum red sponge (so soft) followed with a quick light pass of a very fine clay towel ,dried then topped with D156 . Tires dressed with Mckees 37 gel.
